Potty Pad Holder! HELP!! I need to get me a couple of potty pad holders. Not because she chews on them..she doesn't. But because the pee seeps through or it's making condensation and it's messing my carpets. :( Does anyone have any reviews of the potty pad holders they use? Or what brand do you recommend. I seen a couple online and it had bad reviews. I would prefer one with out a high lip or edge. Ahi is tiny. Links and/or pics would be nice too. Thank you! :) |

I use the Martha Stewart one from Petsmart. It's a fairly thick brown rubber mat that has high lips around the sides. It is only a mat, the pad isn't secured, but I haven't had any problems whatsoever with leaks through it. I believe it may have been $19.99. The line is only sold in Petsmarts, and the box is long and slender because the holder is wrapped up inside. Took me a while to figure out where it was because of the box size/shape. Hope that helps! Good luck! |

Well, when I say high lip, it's just there is a little raised rubber around the edges so that pee won't spill off it. It's been no struggle to get on and off for Nilla, and we've had her since she was really small too. Ahi wouldn't have a problem with it, I am sure. |

I ran into a similar problem with my hard wood floors, so I got one holder from walmart for about $18.00 and it worked wonderful, I just went back and got me a second one, for my 5. I am very happy they are using it. |

I use a tray from a wire kennel & put it on a throw rug or a blanket to stop condensation |

I went to the Container Store and purchased a tray that's used for wet shoes/boots. It too has an edge so any wee wee that runs off the pad will remain in the tray and can be washed off with soap and water. The only problem is that the tray is not wide enough for the entire pad so I usually have to "flip" it to get to the other 1/2. |

I use the top (upside down) from a rubbermaid tote. Just grabbed the closest thing in the garage one day when the newspaper didn't soak up Ziva's pee fast enough and it rolled off.Works great, not too high to step up on. |

2 Attachment(s) this is how my pad holders look like with my washable pads and the disposable ones..:) |

I use the walmart frame type holder as well. Have had it since day two and has worked great. |

Thanks for all the reviews! We don't have a Petsmart here so I will go and check out Walmart. And ordering online i'd like to try and avoid as shipping will probably be more than the holder itself. lol :) |

I like the one I got from Walmart -- They are $13.54 or you can get them for $13 even online with an IAMs puppy kit! http://www.walmart.com/ip/OUT-Puppy-...y-Kit/16504675 I say I like them but that is not the general consensus of my pups. They do NOT like them. They use the pads just fine by themselves but sometimes a bit may come off the side or seep underneath, so I wanted the pad holder. But once I put the pad into the holder, they will not use it. I don't know what the deal is -- not one of the 3 will use the pad when in the holder. It's like they made a pact between themselves and just won't use it. I'd sell it cheap but shipping would not be reasonable -- cheaper for you to just go to Walmart and buy one or two. I have only read one other person who said their dogs would not use the pads if it was in a holder so I don't think it is a wide-spread problem. I probably should try again and be more patient this time, but I don't want to have them going off the pad again either! |

I use the ones from Wal Mart as well. We have 2 and so far love them. They hold the pad in place really well and Katie Scarlett knows to use them. And they were affordable. OUT Puppy Pad Holder - Walmart.com |

For those of you who use the very large washable pads like I do - I went to my local Menards store and bought one of those white plastic washing machine pans that are used to put under a washing machine to catch leaks. They are 28" X 30" X 2" and mine cost about $10.00 or $11.00 if I remember right. My smallest baby is 4 lbs and has no problems walking over the 2" lip. |
