Himalayan Chews
 
I was at our local pet food store when I noticed they started carrying Himalayan chews, knowing I wanted to start weaning Gizmo off of bulley sticks, since they just creep me out, I bought him a pack of four. Needless to say, he's beeing chewing on it in the car, chewing it on the sofa, and just having a grand ole' time. Two thumbs up!:thumbup::thumbup:

My vet started carrying them too but they were all out of the wee little ones. I'm gonna get it for Ahi when we go back on Saturday. I hope she likes them as much as her pizzle. :) Yeah...bully sticks kinda weird me out too and they smell awful. LOL :D

We Looove Himilayan Chews.... and I found some bully sticks that are odorless and in a different shape that aren't as bad. :)

It's the only chew I allow Dori. After a session of gnawing, her breath smells like a kitten!

Ryan, I will place an order too. My vet carries them but they only have the HUGE size. lol :)

Are they safe for Yorkies - cause I'd LOVE to buy some for Sadie. What are they made of? Are they natural??

They are made out of Yak milk and are natural. They do smell like smoked cheese. Ha good description.

I sometimes think they are going to break their teeth they chew so hard that often there is blood on the chew. :eek::eek: Hopefully the teeth won't break and it will help keep the teeth clean.

If you press your finger into a chew and there is no "give", then they are too hard for teeth and can even break them.

I've never seen Himalayan Chews before, so can't say for certain, but I've heard they are very hard. Very hard things are bad for teeth.

I'd talk to a vet before giving them. I'm fairly sure my vet would say a big no. I don't like the thought of $500+ to remove a broken and abscessing tooth.
