I went to Walmart tonight and picked up one of the mouse toys that runs around and makes noises at the sound of a meow, bark or by touch.. Brought it home.. went to put batteries in it and the batteries that were already in it were corroded and it wouldn't work! :( So I'm going to take it back and get a new one.. the batteries probably exploded from sitting so long in stock in walmart! I was so excited to see if Harley would like it but now I have to wait! Darnit! :p

I FINALLY got to walmart and returned the broken mouse and brought home a new one.. and lol of course Harley is sooo scared of it! I hope he comes around bc it's so cute! My other dogs just gather around in a circle and cock their heads from side to side as if to say, "What in the BLEEP is that??" lol I'm going to stick it in a plastic bag and see if that is less scary!

Maybe after you have had it a while he will get used to it. My dogs always act funny like that with motorized toys when I first get them.

haha Harley may need some time getting used to the new toy but OMG my ferret is LOVING it! He gets the run of my bedroom every evening for a couple of hours, some to himself and the rest with Harley so they can play together but I just let him out and was downstairs grabbing a drink and all I could hear was the toy running around and squealing "Na na na na na na!"!! He must really like it! When I walked up to check on him I peaked in and he gets a running start and tackles it! haha :eyetearss

i'm so glad to hear that you finally got one. that stinks he's scared of it. Daisy loves it she plays with it so much. It's hidden in a drawer right now because she tried jumping on the end table to get it. It's cute right?! I had to share it w/everyone as soon i got home and Daisy played with it.

SOrry you had a bad experience. But I have a question now that you have one that works. DO all Walmarts have them?? I think Bell would love it!

I'm not sure if all walmarts have them.. There are two walmarts within about 20 miles of eachother where I live and they both stock different things!? Weird.. I guess you could check but if you don't have any luck you could always try shopping online.. They aren't expensive at all. :)

That's so funny. I have the same thing and Monkey and Maddie are terrified of that darn thing! I thought they would have so much fun with it. Oh well!

Another cute toy for them are those "Weasel Balls". It's a ball that is battery operated. It rolls around randomly with a weasel attached to it. It looks totally crazy when it flip flops around everywhere. My kids were scared of it for a while but they learned to find the fun in it. Now I only have a weasel and no ball...LOL. You guys have reminded me that I have to get a new one!
