Belly Bands? Does anyone here use belly bands for their male dogs? If so any that you like better than others? |
I use them. They are good. Use Poise pads. Go Fetch on YT makes the best! |
I had Cathy (107barney) make Beamer his. Washable Belly Bands by T. Bumpkins & Co. and Doggie Pee Pads She does great work, and they are used with a "Bumpkins Barrier" Bumpkin's Barrier System by T. Bumpkins & Co. which I like as they are washable. But she can make them without the barrier if you prefer to use the Poise pads. |
We use them for one of our boys...best invention ever! I had bought a few but recently started making my own since it was such a simple shape. Before that I was using the ones from Petco or Petsmart...I'm not sure of the brand name though. |
The best ones are the ones that are handmade according to your dogs measurements- like the members here make. The ones in the store with elastic are very uncomfortable for the dogs. |
Mardelin and Sunnie on YT make some fantastic Belly Bands...:) |

I found that Poise pads were too expensive and I started using the Walmart Generic Super Absorbent Maxi pad. They work great! Although I may change to the washable pad, this is the first time i've heard about it. |
A lot of sites recommend belly bands for incontinent dogs, so can they be used for prevention of peeing in the house without causing an isse or messing up housebreaking training? I'd love to get them for Teddie, but don't want to fudge the hard work we put in so far. |
