I use the same brush and purchased from her too. I also purchased a comb. I never thought I would use it as much as I do. Prices are also very reasonable and with super fast shipping. |
Thanks 4 the help. i just have one last question: Should i get the regular size or the small size? |

I find a slicker brush and a steel comb work best for me- nothing else has been able to get knots out. I always spray mine with a leave in conditioning spray before I start brushing them. |

I use the Yorkie Sheen before I brush Rosie. It helps with the knots and it smells really good! |
Madan brushes from Topline, absolutely! |
I use a pinbrush, a pig hair brush and a steel comb. Just go to the nearest pet store and buy a comb :) I use the brushes so little, they just go past the matt, they dont ''fix it'', but the comb goes through the matt and solves it. Just go to the nearest store, and buy a comb, either plastic or steel :) Plastic is OK too, but I prefer steel for my yorkie. |

For metal pin brushes I prefer the Chris Christensen brushes over the Madan brushes but I know many do like the Madan's. The difference for me is the pins on the brushes, the CC brush pins aren't as stiff it seems. My favorite brush though is a wood pin brush. CC makes them but I've also found human hair wood pin brushes that work just as well and can usually find them for slightly less than CC brushes. |

Slicker brush is OK on matts, ONLY the matt then, not on the unmatted coat. I have a slicker, but I never brush the whole dog with is JUST the matt nothing more, cause the slicker breakes the hairs. |

The small Madan Pin Brushes are able to brush out the most stubborn of mats. I purposely didn't brush Mimi (when she had floor length hair) for a week. We went out for walks every day & she got very matted in the areas where the harness rubs. I sprayed directly on the mat & line brushed her & it took me almost an hr, but was able to brush out all the tangles w/out cutting any hair off. The small & oblong have a firmer cushion & are great at brushing out tangles/mats w/out hurting their skin or pulling out too much hair. The softer cushioned brushes 'glide' through the mats, so you need to go in w/a comb & comb it out. Those unfamiliar w/line brushing, that's when you start w/a section of hair & brush downwards in layers starting from the bottom, working your way up. The problem w/ line brushing w/a slicker brush is that it scratches. Try it on your hand or arm, it hurts. The Madan pins are beveled & repeated brushing over the skin does not hurt. Please PM or email me (jyoung_01@hotmail.com/ contact@toplinepet.com) if you have any questions & I'll be happy to help you out!:) |

I have the CC wooden pin brush & sorry to say, but am not a fan. The pins are too nubby & short to 'penetrate' the hair. It gave mine static & pulled on their hair. It did not work for us, but I have read many positive reviews on them. Just like some will prefer the CC over Madan & vise versa...it's what works for you is best. I appreciate every & all reviews of the Madan products, positive or negative. |
Got my Madan brush, comb, and Silk spray in from toplinepet.com today and I used it on my babies and they absolutely loved them. Honestly, I wish I would've had my Sony Bloggie going because after I finished brushing Mason and Chloe both would nudge my hand to do it more and more... so I'd brush each again for a couple strokes and their tails were wagging. Soo cute. Thanks again Topline for the SUPER fast shipping!!!! We love our new products :) |
