Hot spots? What shampoo is safe to use ? Also what food to feed him? I am trying to find the cure for these hot spots, My poor puppy just itches and itches. What is a good nutrious food to feed him? I think he may be allergic to Science Diet.I'm looking to find a better food, and a good shampoo to use. |
Have you tried Natural Balance ? They have a hypoallergenic formula that works really well . I use it for mine but can't remember the name & don't have a bag as I dump it into an airtight container & toss the bag. Also Chamomile Tea rinse works great for the hot spots & itchy skin. After the rinse you can apply the tea bags directly on the Hot Spots for a few minutes daily. |
Thank you. He has some Hot spots/ Sores. And he is literally rubbing his hair out. He keeps itching and itching, and he is starting to lose some of his hair.:( |
For the tea rinse, steep 3 or 4 tea bags let cool & pour into a clean gallon milk jug then fill jug the rest of the way with warm water . Bath the dog as usual & rinse well then pour the rinse over the dog & do not rinse off, just dry as usual. You can do the rinse between baths as needed until symptoms subside. However the rinse alone will not cure the problem as the rash is a symptom of the bigger picture, probably food allergy. Does your baby have fleas ? if so It may be flea allergy .:) |
Hinckley doesn't dig at herself...but she scraps her sides and back along the fireplace like she's a cat. :/ Now she has these horrible sores on her back. How do I get her to stop using the fireplace? |
