has anyone tried those soothing dog cd's? Harlow gets a little wound up sometimes, and I think she has a bit of separation anxiety when I leave for school, and i was thinking of using those cd's that are supposed to sooth the dog. Has anyone tried them, and if so did it work for you? |
I leave the tv on animal planet when no one is at home with Sophie. Don't know if she watches it or not, but it still makes me feel better. |
I've always just left the radio on, I listen to classical radio, he seems to enjoy it. Not like he can say oh mum I just love Barber's Adagio for Strings, it's so moving, but I think he likes it. |
We have a a couple of the "Through a Dog's Ear" CDs and we love them. I believe they do relax the dogs. We also play classical music for them, but it is hard to find slow paced, quiet albums. |
i think i will try one of them just to see. There's no harm in trying it haha and Harlow really likes when I play my ipod so she would probably enjoy the relaxing music. |
We have Through a Dog's Ear too. It really seems to work for my boys too. I actually think it works on me too! Sometimes when I'm getting ready for work, I turn it on a little early :p |
We have "through a dog's ear" not sure if it helps the dogs but I really enjoy it :) |
Try harp music. Mine have always had it played for them when we leave even though they don't suffer anxiety from being left. It's been proven that harp music has a major affect on animals, even shoothing wild wolves. Here is where I bought mine........Celtic Harp Music | Alison Vardy, Harpist | Harp Sales in Canada You could play this one for your babies while your on the computer...... |

I use a classical music cd. In the past, I've used the baby music cd's with good success, too. |

I have "Through a Dogs Ear" and "Music for Pets" it seems to calm Quincy. |
We played the sample tracks of "Through a Dog's Ears," for Lacie one day. It had absolutely no effect on her puppy energy. I can see how it would be helpful for anxious dogs, though. |
I bought one of those cd's for dogs but don't remember who by. For some reason, Hot Rod was really anxious in the car this past spring. I guess he wasn' used to riding since I really don't take them out in the winter. I do believe it helped him calm down and I like it too. I have even listened to it when I was driving out of town. lol |
