Moroccan/Argan Oil I read the read earlier about making shiny coats/skin conditioner etc. good stuff! And like many of you have tried many many different kinds, too many to mention , this Argan oil was mentioned, I forgot who, as being sold in the Sally's beauty store. I have one close so why not? OMG, smells so good! It works just like silk therapy type stuff and melts into your hands, no grease, just soft. Sooo, I bought the shampoo, for me and got a bottle of oil, me & dog, and got a bottle of oil free. It's gonna drive DH crazy, smells so good. :D But really the TRUE purpose of buying the oil was to make a little dog look good, ya right. Rub dime size amount in your palm, then in your hair, then, leftovers onto dog, Sprocket doesn't have much hair anyway and it goes a long way. Duel duty or maybe triple with the driving DH crazy part.:D:D |
When I was at the hair dressers 2 weeks ago she used moroccan oil on my hair and it made it nice and silky. I have real thick hair that has a tendency to frizz. Is Argan and Moroccan the same thing or 2 different oils? I will get some for me and my babies! Thanks |
The bottle says moroccan argan trees, so same thing I guess, but it's alcohol free and works real nice. I am a red head and so also have the frizz factor  so am hoping this will work, even so, the shine and smell, or and of course on the dog too. Good luck |

Moroccan Oil now has shampoo and conditioner that also smells fantastic. Not sure if Sally has a version but that would be great! |
Will look into that thanks for sharing:thumbup::p |
I would recommend against using argan oil shampoos or conditioners on dogs. They are going to get bad reactions and side effects. Stick to pure Argan oil on your dogs, and the stuff is fairly expensive so only use Argan oil for a special show or occasion. Please do your research and only use high quality Argan oil on your pet. EssenceofArgan.com is the place where I have got my stuff. |
Interesting. I started using argan oil as a carrier for tea tree oil, after learning about it from Kisha https://your-style-guide.com/best-argan-oil-for-hair/ After I didn't seem to need the TTO anymore, I kept using the argan oil as a makeup remover/cleanser/moisturizer. I love it. It's non-greasy, absorbs into my skin within a few minutes, and I can either wear make-up over it or not, either way. I don't know what its chemical make-up is so I don't know why or how it works, but a quick google search pulls up a few different perspectives on oleic acid and whether it's helpful vs. harmful for acne. Argan oil is also an ingredient in several commercial skin care products and shampoos, but the more I learn, the more I tend to buy single, naturally occurring ingredients for my skin, so I'll stick with the pure argan oil. Apparently it's also edible, similar to olive oil; I saw a few items about that in the google search as well. |
