BEWARE of Marilyn Muttroe I just wanted to warn people about this pet boutique. I have had a terrible experience with them. It's been three months since I placed my order with them and I still haven't received it or any explanation as to the problem. The only response I can get from them is they will contact the warehouse. They never get back to me after they contact the warehouse. Now, I can't get anyone to answer the phone or respond to my e-mails. I'm out $133. I just wanted to let others know about my experience so it doesn't happen to anyone else. |
If you paid by credit card, you should be able to contact them to dispute the charge for non-delivery. |
Call your credit card company and tell them you want to dispute the charge. If you used paypal, you can dispute the charge through them too. |
Problem is though....she said it has been 3 months. I'm not sure about credit cards, but paypal has to be done within 45 days I believe. |

I did call the credit card company and I can't dispute the charges because it has been longer than 60 days. I had no idea she wasn't going to send my order or I would have contacted my credit card company earlier. I have ordered from other boutiques and sometimes it can take a while if each piece is from different manufacturer. If that were the case with Marilyn Muttroe then she should have let me know something instead of just ignoring me. |
Quicksilver, I just read your thread. I also found someone else on Dogster that had problems with her as well. Hopefully my thread will come up when people google her. It sounds like she is getting worse and people should know. |

I could never get anyone to return my calls! Ever. She has great items and some really good sales so that's why I decided to give it a second chance. I don't understand her business practices. I didn't report it to PayPal within the guidelines they set. Anyway she did refund my money eventually and I did get some of the merchandise which I loved. Was it worth the hassle, no. |
Thanks you all. I do a lot of on-line shopping and like knowing these things about vendors. It's one thing to run out of certain merchandise, that could happen to any vendor......it's all in how the vendor communicates, or in these cases the vendor's lack of communication. I would have been furious being ignored! |
I used my debit card through paypal. I tried to report it to paypal but it wasn't within the 45 days. They told me to contact my bank since the card comes out of my checking account. My bank has a 60 day limit. So, I continue to run into dead ends. |
You could try sending her a private message through YT (if you haven't already). She'll get an email notification and perhaps then think your post here should be addressed. |
I will try that. I sent her a message on facebook and she hasn't responded it either. I know she checks her messages pretty regular because BEFORE I placed my order I sent a message to customer service asking a question about shipping. It was on a Sunday and she responded within a few minutes. She even gave me her personal e-mail address. Of course she since she already has my money she isn't responding to any of the e-mail addresses I have now. |
