Vests The beautiful sewn vests that I see around with the d rings, how well do they hold? Has anyone ever had their furbaby bust out of one? They're very cute vests and I'd love to get Tila some girlie ones. My worst fear is she'll be wearing one and I'll be standing there holding a leash with a vest attached and Tila will be waddling away. I know that they're sewn very well, but I worry about silly things. lol. Thank you. |
I make custom vests and dresses with the d ring. I use a high strength velcro closure. I had my two out walking them the other day and they booth went bonkers barking and pulling trying to get to our outside dog. That was the first time they had done something like that. The velcro held and they were pulling and jumping like crazy. Hopefully others that have purchased vests will chime in with their comments. There are a lot of YT members who make beautiful custom clothing. I would think you should get a lot of feedback on opinions, and I understand your concerns. This was my biggest fear when I started making clothes for my furbutts, that the velcro wouldn't hold. I have also tried snaps and they don't hold as well, hook and eye hardware works good also. |
I also sew custom harness vest and dresses. I have used them on my dogs for years now, and never have had one come loose. Maddie and Libby are both pullers, and my daughters yorkie is even worse, but the velcro has always held tight. |
