Advice on a good carrier I would like a little carrier just for short trips back and forth to the vet, etc. How big of one should I get? I found a cute little one that isn't very tall. It supposedly fits a dog up to 14 pounds, but I don't know if I should get one that he can stand up and turn around in. Thanks in advance. |
This is the one I found. What do you think? Sherpa American Kennel Club Navy Pet Carriers - Airline Approved Collapsible Pet Carrier Bag from PETCO.com |
Oops, sorry for the double post1 |
How big is your baby? PetSmart and PetCo have adorable carriers, and many times have them on sale. Also, you can purchase them online. Your furbaby should be comfortable with a blankie, but not so big that they get lost inside. Keep us posted. Helen:aimeeyork |
Oh yeah...I really like that one and the mesh will make it great for summer too. |
Sherpa carriers are very nice. |
Rhett is 4.1 lbs right now (he's only 12 weeks). It gives him enough room that he can lay down with his head up, but not much more than that. It's not cheap (about 40 bucks) so I was wondering if i should just break down and get the next size up. |
I really like the SturdiBags... they give the dogs plenty of room to move around and they are very easy to carry... plus they buckle into the car perfect so it doubles as their safety mechanism in the car and they are airline approved. Also I can fold all the flaps down so that they can not see anything when we are somewhere I know they would be noisy or open them all so that they have tons of air and can see everything if we are in the car or something. I also was able to get the large divided one so that I only need one bag for the two of them but they still have their own separate sections. |
