Potty Boxes?
 
Does anyone use an indoor potty box for their dogs? If so, which one do you have and how do you like it?

I have one I bought at PetCrazy at couple months ago. he uses it all the time and had never had an accident since I got it. At first I had to pick him up & put him in it but he uses it all by himself now. I will take a picture & post it for you.

Oops, I should have been more specific. Yes, I was speaking of the grass system ones.

I have the potty patch and I also just have the artificial grass over a potty pad. That's how I trained the litter of puppies I had and the one I kept uses it very well on the other hand, the new puppy I just got has no clue what it is and he rarely if ever uses it but he just needs some work I think....
I know some people have had trouble with getting the potty patch in a timely manner but I had no trouble at all and have been pleased with it.

This is the setup I use, too. A wee wee pad inside a doggie litter box. Works great. I bought mine at a local pet store. I think our local grain store sells them, too. It's by Second Nature. The one I have the full-size pad fits perfectly and there are high sides, although I have a little girl.

Edit: It's actually the setup Sydney uses. lol

I bought potty park (pottypark.com), I haven't been able to train my new puppy on it because she has a broken leg. I've put her up on it once but she chews at the grass and gets antsy when I put her up on it. I'll be using it and training her on it after she heals, but the wee pad in the dog litter box is a great idea. I just use the wee wee washable pads now but I'm going to get the dog litter box and try putting the wee pad in there.

That is a nice potty box! What size pad do you use? I am wanting to get Cerise to go in a box with pad. Right now the pads are on the floor and she uses them. I bought two boxes (up and down stairs) for her but she was scared of them so I put the pads on the floor and it worked. But now I want the pads in a box :rolleyes:

Sydney was afraid of the litter box, too. She would actually start to quiver if I put her in it. I did the same thing. I put the wee wee pads on the floor and she got use to using them. After she was pretty good about that, one night, I put her pad inside a litter box. She sleeps with me in bed. On her own, she crawled down her steps to the floor and got into the litter box, which I put close to the steps. From then on, she's been using the box. She's nine months now. She was eight when she finally started using it on her own.

Olive has a Rascal Litter Box and so far, she'll poop in it when I'm not home... but she won't pee in it yet. I still leave a puppy pad down next to it for that. I didn't even have to train her to go in it. However, she won't use it if I'm home, lol. She's a silly puppy, but I think she'll get it once I work with her a little more.

they sell the potty patch at Walgreen now....
