I use Harry Barker's Oatmeal Shampoo which allows me to wash her once a week and the smell is divine.

I tried the splash and shine shampoo this weekend and my dogs are soo soft and smell so nice. I ordered some "nootie" but really like this shampoo.

I posted earlier I used the Iv San Bernard products. This is s recent thread, with a few user reviews and ordering information. The results are phenomenal!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Splash and Shine.
We also use Buddy Wash and Buddy Rinse by Cloudstar--another great product!!
I am super interested in Nootie though. My guy would kill me if I bought another thing for Snick right now.....I've been on a spending bender for him!!:rolleyes:

We just got our Yorkie Splash and Shine. WOW! This is what you need if your looking for a soft and pleasant smelling Yorkie! We found our new shampoo/conditioner! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Does this help with itching tho? My poor little Sweet Pea is always scratching.

I don't think it helps with itching. Olive scratches and she's still doing it, even after using Splash and Shine. I'm going to try Mink Sheen next. We'll see how that goes!

Is it possible the itching could be allergies?

The doctor said it's not, and she doesn't really itch all that often. I did notice some dandruff after using Splash and Shine, but that may be my lack of rinsing.. Olive hates baths and with squirm until she gets out of the tub or sink.

I just received my Yorkie splash and shine samples. I like it though I don't think it is as good as John Paul Pet oatmeal shampoo and conditioner, but I will buy more of it as I think it's pretty good and the alternating of the two seem to do very well. The Yorkie splash and shine does smell good, didn't feel the need to use the biogroom cologne on them. One Yorkie still smells nice from Saturday's bath, the other one (the one I washed twice) doesn't smell so good. I think you should just experiment with a few and when you find the one or two you like best stick to those. I like trying new things so I might give a few of the other recommendations a try. John Paul is good but I'm not foolish enough to think it's the end-all until I try a few more, but if I never use anything else but John Paul I'd be okay with that.

If you decide to try the Iv San Bernard products, call and speak w/Linda or Kerry (I think). They do have products designed to help with itchy skin, I'm sure there is one to help Olive.

This may cause a squeal but I use regular dawn liquid on Raley to help with fleas (only had 2 so far). I lather him up in it and let it stay for a minute or so. After that I use baby shampoo. His coat is clean, shiny and he smells good!

Also, those of you that are concerned about your pup itching, I suggest you give a supplement for skin health. Shampoo is not where it all is for skin/allergy issues.

I recommend Cranimals. I alternate my kids on the Very Bery & Gold. One is for eye health the other skin and coat. etc.

Thanks for the advice. I sent the Iv San Bernard site an email so I can become a member and purchase their products just waiting for a response... :)

Great Conditioner
 
We use Fur Butter conditioner on Winston. We buy it at www.gwlittle.com All Winter I've had extremely dry skin, so when Winston started scratching like crazy I knew I had to do something about it. We are using a gentle puppy shampoo from Petsmart (that I don't really like & want to get Yorkie Splash & Shine asap), but use Fur Butter conditioner. It's the consistency of a thick lotion & your rub it in, wait as long as you can before your dog jumps out of the tub, and then rinse it off. His fur is so soft & smells great all week. I was going to order their shampoo, but there are so many great reviews for Splash & Shine that I'm going to try that instead.

Happy Tails makes Fur Butter. They also make a "Sparkle & Shine" shampoo. Wonder how it compares to Splash & Shine.

Anyone know what a good shampoo would be for my yorkie AND my pom?? i would prefer using same on both..but i need somethin that will make their coats beautiful and make sure they aren't dried out and itchy. I would prefer something i could get at walmart or Petsmart if possible b/c they are places i have fast access to. I am almost out of shampoo so any suggestions would be great:)
