I'm not sure but you might not like the smell of Mink Oil .. this one I don't use on Razzle .. find it too heavy for his coat -- but I use on our Blackies .. I have the conditioning spray which includes an SPF factor 15.. They need that for sun protection .. don't want sun to fade or bring out red in their black coats. |

You think my sensitive nose won't like the Mink Oil? :p If it is too heavy on Razzle, then I can safely rule it out for the Maxman. I'll try to get a sample of OMG Plush Puppy, or I'll gamble the money and buy it outright. My friends and the local rescue groups appreciate my castoffs. By the way, we have switched to Biogroom Oatmeal shampoo and creme conditioner. We are on bath #2 with it and the scent is really growing on me. We love the results. |

I don't think some people have a choice as far as the slicker. It's all relative to what you have, you're expectations & weighting out the benefits of removing nasty mats on some. It's all relative to ones coat. We brush after baths. Some people just enjoy brushing and/or grooming their pet. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork I can't imagine spraying any product on them daily. You may consider an Anti-Stat or Daily Brushing if you are looking for something without buildup. I wouldn't put anything on mine daily. Even when you dilute them greatly they are still "products". |

Glad you like the Biogroom. By the way do you wrap Maximo? It's time consuming but I too have an active boy who loves to floor surf - and I think that this is the only way I'll grow his coat. I also got those silk wrapping jackets which once he is wrapped up seem to help a lot with the matting. Vellus satin creme is great too in both helping to prevent mats and helping you take them out particularly those weblike mats. just put some on your hands then onto mat. Let sit for a minute or so then use your fingers to gently part mat. I'm getting some of that Yorkie Splash and Shine I've heard good reviews about. I pick it up at the show. |

I love nice smells but go with what works for us vs good smelling. I love how my girls smell bath or no bath.....but there is something so sweet about a soft clean yorkie and they know it too :) |

No showing or wrapping for us; we are simply "civilians" who admire the gorgeous show dogs and we like to try out all of the fancy grooming products. Although their sire championed last year, Maximo and his brother are only pet quality. They are each the "giants" of their respective litters, and the brother turned too blond in the top knot. We will definitely post pictures of the boys together. I hope you and others post pictures from NYC! Let me know how Splash 'n Shine works on Razzle. Plush Puppy products are officially next on my list; where is the best place to purchase them? |

Glad to hear that you like Plush Puppy on your silky coated Cheri. Where do you purchase your Plush Puppy products? |

Regarding the PP Products - I've had mine for years - the shampoo lathers like you can't believe so you don't need much - I got it straight off their site....but again - it was about 4 years ago so am not sure of the cost. The bottle I bought of the Shampoo AND conditioner still has about 1/4 left - and my girls get lots of baths - so I think it's a great product and you do get your moneys worth. It makes Cheri's hair very silky and is easy on their skin - no itchies ! Same with the CC Products - they're very gentle and last a long time. I have lots of other products that I've tried and given away - I think we all do then when we first get yorkies - I learned now - SAMPLES if possible then buy the regular size.....You could end up spending money on things you dont care for.... |

My maltese can go weeks without taking a bath and she doesn't smell. On the other hand my yorkie will have a stinky butt the next day. So I'm doing my research on shampoos, I currently use Spa comfort shampoo and Bless the Beast conditioner that work great with my maltese. I understand they are two very different individuals but I don't want to spend so much $$$ trying out all products. What's recomended for a lil' furbutt with strong odor? So far no matting problems since her hair is so fine. |

I like to spray it on the brush :) |

BioGroom Oatmeal shampoo and creme rinse conditioner also keeps my pup smelling nice for an entire week. I have used their products twice now and found that Maximo's perpetually dirty beard still smells nice right up to his next bath. Villette posted above about CC samples for a fee; I have read that BioGroom will send free samples if you email them -- and they deliver quickly. :) |
