BOOTS..How Do They Work for Your Little 1
 
I live on a Creek and need to buy a pair of boots for Rambo to be able to go on the ice. I just don't know how he'll take to wearing them and will they keep him warm. He wants to come out so bad. I was thinking of putting infant socks on his legs with a rubber band. What do you think?:icon5:

Personally, I love the booties that I bought for Jimi. They were only $12. The YT member Alaskayorkie recommended them to me. Here is the website: Page 1

Most boots you find in pet stores are too heavy for a yorkie to carry around because they have such hard rubber bottoms and such. The ones I bought are perfect. Jimi doesn't mind them one bit. They are basically just a fleece sock with velcro/elastic around them. When we were inside he was sliding around frantically, but once we got outside he was running around happily. :)

I got some for Sophie and everyone thought I was crazy. But I have gotten some good use out of them. I put them on her if it's really rainy and muddy out, snow and ice. She doesn't mind them and it keeps their feet clean and the floors. Now everyone thinks they were a good buy.

I've been wanting to get Couver some booties to protect his feet from the cold... but I want to make sure they will keep his feet warm and dry.

Does the fleece material actually keep the moisture out?

Are you talking about the ones on Jimi? They stay on great! They have this elastic stretchy band that has velcro on it, so you can tighten/loosen as much as you need. And they are so lightweight! The company I ordered from is so smart because they send you 5 booties instead of 4.. just in case one falls off and you lose it.. ;)

Just click on the link "Contact Us" and fill out the form stating what you want to order. The woman that I talked to, Rebecca, emailed me back with a response really quickly. They are a specialty botique that is in Alaska so they have a minimal website, but they will sell you things from the store through paypal.

Thank you so much for this information, I just tried to contact Rebecca. Can I ask you (megooego) how much shipping was for the booties? I really hope the shipping was quick too. Snick had LP surgery in Nov and he is now healed and ready for his walks again, he has MASSIVE cabin fever but we have salt everywhere on the roads and sidewalks here in MI.

Shipping was only $2.00, so it was $14.00 all together. Considering the booties were from Alaska, I thought the shipping was very quick. She was very fast at e-mailing me back too. Just make sure you let her know how much Snickers weighs, so she can determine what size. Jimi is 10 lbs so he wears size 2XS, but Alaskayorkie's girl Jilly is only 4lbs and wears size 3XS.

LOL, I agree... our Bella did the funkiest walk for the first bit until she got used to them. Hilarious!
