Affordable and Nice Pet Carrier I just received this bag today from dog.com. It is wonderful. Sydney fits perfectly inside. I ordered the green for her. There is a safety leash inside that attaches to her harness. Now I can walk into stores with her and not look like I'm toting a pet carrier. Plus, while traveling in the car, I looped one handle over the passenger seat back so she can see out, too. Not to mention that the bag is only 29.99 USD. International Pup Carrier - Dog.com |
Nice!! Definitely a cute bag  Great find! What does Kirby think of it? How does she do when you zip it? |
Thank you. Kirby is actually the name of my chinchilla. I named my username after him because I didn't have a Yorkie or name yet :) Sydney wasn't too thrilled about being zipped in this afternoon, but she'll get use to it. I've been putting treats inside of it and I unzipped the side tonight. It's on the living room floor. She's been climbing in on her own. It is comfortable on my shoulder, but Syd is only 4 lbs. Dog.com says it can hold some dogs up to 20 lbs. I'm just glad I finally found something. I've been looking for a while. :) |

Yeah, she will definitely get used to it! Just keep making it a positive experience. Keep the trips short and slowly increase the time she is in the bag. I did this with Couver, and now... if needed, he can stay in there for a couple hours! |

Syd, Daddy, and I went shopping last night. Sydney behaved herself inside her new bag. Only a couple of whimpers. Treats helped, though. I am liking this bag. I don't think anyone knew she was in there. The only thing is that it says it's for dogs up to 20 lbs. I think if you had a heavier dog, you could use it if the dog was still small in stature, but you wouldn't want to carry the 20 lb. dog for too long. |
Great bag....looks nice. I agree, you wouldn't want to carry a 20lb dog on your shoulder. |
1 Attachment(s) Very cute! I was looking for one for awhile too and I really wanted a Kwigy-Bo but couldnt afford one. I got a Zack & Zoey carrier on ebay that I really like. |
I was going to buy this carrier but couldn't tell if there was a pocket or not. I need a place to put my wallet and cell phone, I can't carry a dog and a purse. Let me know how it works out. |
The are two large pockets on either side of the bag. I have Sydney's leash and harness in there with a couple sweaters, treats, and a spare wee wee pad. Quote:

Kirby, I love your bag but I the post was for Cbhunny about her gold Zack & Zoey bag she bought on ebay. I wasn't sure if her bag had pockets. Kirby, I'm sorry for the confusion. I may end up buying both since the one I have is too big. |
No apologies necessary. I get confused all the time lol. |
To report back in, the International Pup Carrier worked great taking Sydney to the vet to have her spayed. I left her in the carrier with my jammie top. The nurses fell in love with Syd and her bag lol. When they brought her out for me to pick her up, she was laying down in her bag. |
Can't just order one! :)I'm so glad Sydney felt safe in her bag during that time. It was such a good idea to leave her at the vet with her bag. Thanks to your original post I ordered the canvas bag with green print for Chase. He is 7 and a half pounds. He loved the bag immediately and although he wasn't thrilled about it letting me zip up the top he let me do it. It's very roomy! Treats do help! At a price like that, I jumped online and ordered another in green and one in light blue as well. Due to its light color the bag will probably last a spring and summer and then I will have two more bags for future use. It's really a very well made canvas bag. I love that it has "studs" that prevent the bottom of the bag from touching the floor. Along with free shipping and super fast delivery I was very impressed. Thanks for posting about this great find. :animal36 |
I am always on the lookout for a new bag. That one is really cute. I like it in green, also. I am happy to hear that Sydney did well in it at the vets. |
