Dr Fosters and Smith? Has anyone ever ordered from there before? I just got their catalog in the mail and they have such nice stuff for Christmas. I particularly liked the treats for the holiday, they have these fun looking rawhides. What does everyone think .. are they safe for our babies? Dog Supplies: Christmas Treats for Dogs |
A while ago I ordered my grooming table and was happy with the experience. |
The website is Great i Have ordered from there alot. I just wouldn't feed rawhides since there not safe for Dog's. |
It's a very good company to deal with but I order mostly thru PetEdge because of their low price and very quick delivery. |
If you still want snacks for your baby These are the thing's i would order JMO. Dog Treats: All Natural Pizzle Chews Everlasting Treat Ball : Combination Treat Ball & Dog Toy at Drs. Foster and Smith Natural, healthy dog treats: Drs. Foster & Smith Healthy Snax Sweet Potatoes Dog Treats: Drs. Foster & Smith Organic Dog Biscuits at Drs. Foster & Smith |
my mom orders from them all the time but i think they are a little high depending on what you are getting there are a lot of great stores online i like upco.com revival.com and i used to love petedge.com but their shipping is outrageous now |
Pet Edge does have a minimum order charge and shipping charges, BUT their prices are so reasonable, especially for their sales that it more than justifies paying the shipping! Foster and Smith is a good company and I have ordered from them many times. As for rawhide...I never use it! Not safe imo. |
i have used DFS many times, but mostly for aquarium stuff and not so much dog stuff. They do run a little high sometimes but then they do have some amazing sales sometimes, too. So it's just 50/50 chance you'll find something worth using the site for compared to other sites that are generally cheaper. |
Drs Foster and Smith I used to buy alot from them and have always been happy with it. They ship really fast and their sales are good. I would stay away from rawhide, especially the fancy ones with color in them. I give Belle bully sticks and she loves them. I do give our 85 pound Lab rawhide as he has no problem with it. If I run out of bully sticks, I have given Belle a piece of rawhide that is really thick and she can't chew any pieces off. It saves my couch from being eaten! Pet Edge is where I shop mostly, there shipping is really terrible but the prices for alot of things is awesome. |
Personally Drs F & S is one of my more frequent online shopping sites and I love that its always super easy to get a hold of customer service whenever I need to. You do have to be mindful of pricing though. I find that for a good number of their products their items are a lot cheaper then I can get at my local stores (where ever I've been in 3 states) and often at better quality. Not all of their items are cheaper though! Dr. F & S is my treat headquaters, largely because they do have a fairly large number of treats that don't have artificial additives, and I love their dehydrated line of proteins (and their sweet potato treats.) More often then not they're also my source for bully sticks, and Winston and I like their "tendon twists" since they have a nice teeth cleaning texture, are the twisted shape and aren't overly expensive. I usually scout their clearance section (especially after the holidays) because they often have some great stuff and generally do a big shopping cart once or twice a year. I think they're the kind of store that either really works for you... or it doesn't. They stock a good bit of a lot of things, but not necessarily everything (especially if you're a name brand person.) Comes down to what you generally buy a lot of, and if its the kind of thing they stock a good selection of. |
