CORDLESS Wahl Peanut?
 
I posted this in the General forum and then realized I should have put it here.

I need to buy a Peanut trimmer and just saw that Wahl has a cordless version. Has anyone tried their cordless Peanut trimmer? Does it work well? The cordless would be soooo much more convenient for me than having to have a cord, but I hate to buy it and not like it.

I don't have it, but this is the one I've heard talked about most here...and people really seem to love it! Hopefully more folks will see this and chime in...I've heard great things about it. :)

How did you learn to groom your furbabies? Did you take a class or a workshop? Or did you apprentice with someone? I'd love to groom Sophie myself, but the only haircut I gave her left her looking like she had the mange. :(

A lot of it was just trial & error. :p

Really, though, there's some great info in the grooming forum and there's a sticky there with how to videos. Also, someone recommended some grooming videos on Youtube - just go there and do a search and you'll find several.

My babies don't look as good as if I had them professionally done, but with 5 it is just too expensive to have done.

Dont know if its the same one but I just brought a Wahl battery operated trimmer for doing ears, feet etc, its pocket size and only uses one small battery and I love it.

Thank you! It sounds like the same thing. I'm glad to find someone who likes it. :)

I broke down and ordered from e-bay, and I'm so glad I did. It has plenty of power, it's easy to use and I really like that it's cordless. Of course I've only used it 1-1/2 of my kiddos so far (Murphy got scared half-way through his trim :p), so I'll have to see how it does on all of them.

The little pocket trimmer fromWahl is different than the Peanut. I am so glad to finally read someone on here has the cordless Wahl Peanut! I had posted about it a while back when I first saw it. I have the corded Peanut and would love a cordless version as that is my only problem -- my coordination along with the cord. :rolleyes: I was concerned about the power level, so glad to hear it still is plenty powerful to get the job done. I may have found an item to add to my Wish List! Thanks!

Debra, I really think you'd love the cordless. I found mine on e-bay for $39 including shipping and it is worth every penny. :)

I just wanted to update and let everyone know how good this little trimmer is. :thumbup: I used it on all five of mine in a row Saturday afternoon & it was still going strong when I finished (I did ears, feet pads and sanitary trims). I didn't use any attachments and it worked perfectly (except I nicked Chelsea's bottom just a little when doing a sanitary trim so I'll have to be more careful there :p). They all handled it much better than I expected except for Murphy - the poor little guy is TERRIFIED of it. :eek: So, I guess I'll keep using the scissors on him unless he adjusts.
This cordless trimmer is definitely worth the investment.

Thanks for the recommendations. I just ordered one on ebay. I think it will be worth it to have the cordless version. I love my little corded Peanut so looking forward to this one too.

Tried to contact Postage2 to bid on her ebay Peanut but no answer to PM. :confused:

:thumbup: I'm glad it's working well for you!! :D I have a small wireless wahl beard trimmer that sounds about the same...and I love it! I got mine at WalMart for something like $10.

I have the cordless. It's fine for those show weekends away from home. But, prefer the original
