Looking for a Yorkie Purse/Carrier-Don't have $100's of dollars Hi! I am new Yorkie mom to Oliver. A sweet almost 4 yr old boy we adopted yesterday. His former mom said he loves to be carried in a doggie purse. I see a ton of them around but they are expensive. Being a single mom, I want to spend about $50. I am also curious on style. What works best for these little guys. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance Debbie |
don't know if you have a wal mart near you but they carry them. I was at a Christmas tree shop yesterday and saw some there too. didn't check the prices but, I know they aren't over 50.00...at wal mart they are rather inexpensive. |
What a great idea! I never thought of Wal Mart! WOW Thanks! |
You also might want to check www.jefferspet.com they have some carriers in your budget. |

If you happen to have a tuesday morning near you (not sure where you are in Jersey) but they usually have at least one or two different kinds in stock. I find its hit or miss though, depending on your style and what you like. Kwiggy Bo also has some carriers in their sale section and depending on what you're looking for you might find something you like. (They have two straw ones and a peach pleather one under $25.) Overstock.com also has a slew of bags under $50, but it really depends on what you like. I always stalk the clearance pins at the pet store whenever I go. Before I got Winston I always used to see a ton of dog bags hanging out in the bins at 50-70% off. I haven't been that lucky since I got him... but it happens and I am always on the look out! |
Great ideas!! Thank you!! |
I got one of mine from Walmart for about $18! It is Bentley's fav too! |
The Fundle! I bought the fundle bag.. its by far Maxie's favorite bag - he just wags his tail whenever he see its and he sleeps all the time in it when we are out. They usually have some in the sale sections online - try this site: Dog Carriers, Cat Carriers, Pet Carrier, Pet Slings, Fundle - Pink Puppy I actually got it from a store in Manhattan, but the color I got wasnt on sale and I would get the mini size for the yorkie (thats what I have and its perfect. |
Fundle wow i really like that fundle bag, i had never seen that. Would you recommend this bag for trying to hide the babies in stores, or is it to obvious? |
Thought of you and this thread again today as I was browsing through the dog.com catalog. They have a bunch of pretty stylish bags around $30 and under! They aren't super inconspicuous (they do have the non-hidden mesh on the sides) but if you aren't particularly looking for that I thought some were quite cute (and affordable!) I am particularly in love with this one: International Pup Carrier - Dog.com |
purse I bought one from Target, ABC, and ebay for cheap! Have had them for 4 years now. |

i suggest ebay, the selection is wider than you can possibly find in any retail stores and the prices are much better |

I ordered the International Pup Carrier. I can't wait to try it with Sydney. The bag seemed to have great reviews. I'll weigh in on YT when it comes. |
