Vac-U-Groomer? Hi. Does anyone have this? Due to being in a remote area and no trustworthy groomers...I have to groom my Yorkie at home. I bought the "How to Groom Your Yorkie At Home" DVD and it has been great help; however, I'm having a tough time getting an even trim all over. I heard the Vac-U-Groomer could fix that problem (a hose adaptor that you attach to your clipper and then to a shop vac...that sucks the hair up for an even cut). If anyone has used this, I would love to hear what you think! Thanks! |

I haven't used this but I'm interested to know if it works too! |

I'm no expert but don't think I'd use anything with suction - it sounds like if something goes wrong you could really hurt a dog not to mention - I've never heard of it before and with all the scams and worthless things people are selling these days - do your research first before you spend your money |

Vacuums systems are great for avoiding track marks, but can you define what you mean by a more even cut? Vacuum clipping systems generally mean that it cuts off more hair then it usually would (by one to two blade sizes) and you can grab hair that you don't mean to grab which means you have to be careful. (This is why there is big learning process with it!) If you want to learn more about vacuum clipping I really suggest one of the grooming forums (like GroomerTALK and MobileGroomerTALK Community). There are a lot of groomers out there with a lot of experience out there who could really help. Also, really do your research because there are several lines of vacuum systems and they all have pros/cons. |

vacu hi, i agree with the girls above. it really only used to suck up hair as the clipper cuts. used more for cleanliness. and to stop hair in the air in grooming salons. it wud be good for clip offs larger dogs. check ur blades or invest in a pair off thinning scissors. i dont us clippers on my furbabies. it is more of a natural look wit the thinners. :animal36 |

Vacuum clipping I've been triming My buddy Yorkie and two Schnauzers with vacuum and clippers.I use a 3 foot long thin plastic (sump pump type) hose. Tape the hose just above clipper teeth, and slip other end on central vacuum hose. I also open another wall valve, as to control the suction, I don't want get full suction, the vacuum lifts the hair as You cut, Works great. |
