Pet Car Seat? Does anyone use one?? I do a lot of driving (with dropping my daughter off and my mom everywhere) that I dont want to have to keep my baby in a carrier in the car and I dont think they are THAT safe as they can roll around. So I would love to get a car seat to put her in so she is safe because she will be going EVERYWHERE with me... Ive been seeing these and really love the way they look and work. Solvit Pet Booster Seat Anyone try those?? Im just more worried about what size they really fit since Prada will only get to be 5lbs and if i can use it while shes a puppy as well. |
We have this one in our truck. Amelia LOVES it. And she's gonna spend a lot of time in it this summer. :) Snoozer Luxury High-Back Console in Camel at PETCO |

So if your little one is like her...this is not the one to get. |

That looks sturdier & has a wider ledge...but is your baby going to sit in there? I'm just asking cuz Mimi will not sit in a seat. She like to hang her head out the window & act like a big dog!:D I've seen lots of YTers w/this: Outward Hound Car Seats: Outward Hound Lookout Booster Seat for Dogs at PETCO They usu have it on the back... |
We have a Solvit Pet booster seat. At first I thought I liked it. But after using it I noticed Bobby would not sit down in the seat. He would put his paws on the front of it. And if I breaked too hard or sudden he would fall out and hang there! So I bought a new seat from pet gear and I love it. He sits on the seat and can still look out the window. Here is a link to it. Pet Gear Booster Car Seat at PETCO |

I have 2 different kinds of Doggie Car Seats. I is a black elevated soft seat with a leash restraint and the other a hard plastic seat covered with sheepskin cover and also has a leash type restraint. They both are big enough for the 3 dogs-7 lbs-13 lbs. They hold upto a 25 lb. dog to lay down on. For shorter trips I am looking for seat belt chest restaints to put on them for added protection. Both are good size and once I get the chest restraints will be very good protection for them in case of an accident. I put baron in a small pet carrier and seat belt it into the car. He's too bouncy and wouldn't lay down on the car seats. To the OP, I really like the look of the one you had the link too. Maybe that'll be the one I get for Baron for when he's a little older and more calmed down. Thank-You for the post... |
Ryle has the Snoozer and he loves to sit in it because he is up higher and can look ouy of the windows.:) |
Safe car seat [FONT=Comic Sans MS]I, too, am looking for a safe car seat for Lily, but I'm looking for something pretty, something that may not be available ...a feminine-looking one. I saw one on It's Me Or The Dog and they are adorable. It looked like it was adorned with pretty ruffled fabric. The episode was filmed in the UK so they might be harder to find here in the US. If anyone knows where I might get one, would you please let me know. I've searched all the websites I know about, and I haven't seen it yet. Thanks, |
luxury dog car seats,SUV Car restraint, companion dog beds, ramps, stairs, safety harnesses This is what Chase uses in the car. He loves it so much that we have to carry it into the house bc he doesn't want to come out. We got the reg one....not the console so that he is safe in the back away from the airbag. He weighs 7 pounds. It buckles to the seatbelt then the clip attaches to his harness. I highly reccomend it. |
We have a Snoozer console seat and a Snoozer Lookout. The girls love them!!!! The one sold at Petco is now also available on overstock.com for a really good price. |
That was Phoebe first car seat, they are great, but we love(companion and console) from inthecompanyofdogs. I know is expensive but is worth every penny jmo |
car seat I caannot wait to get my little Minnie one ,she adores looking out the car window but being a minature cant reach the window and has to be held in the car .Now though I can bring her along with me in her own car seat ! She will be the cutest driving companion!!! |

I have an Animals Matter car seat by LA Dog Company I got it when my dog was 12 weeks old. He had an accident in it, pooped and since I was on the interstate had to stay in it for about 20 minutes. When I finally got him home and cleaned up I was able to peel the cover off of the foam and wash it. The foam was dry to the bone so I sprayed it with Nature's Miracle. The high quality sewing and fabric stood up to a beating! I would buy another one in a heartbeat. |
I bought one for Gucci a long time ago but I hardly use it. He shakes so much when I put him in it and tries to jump on my lap. Once he was danging on the side of the booster. I don't know why he gets so scared when I put him in it...I guess he got used to riding on my lap. After that I made sure the little leash is shorter so he can't jump out. When ever I put him in it now he just lays down shaking and never lifts his head ...miserable ride for him I guess. He hates me... |
Hi TLC. You asked where I bought the Animals Matter car seat for Chase. Funny, he's sleeping in it right now as I'm making breakfast. When he sees us getting ready to leave he either hops into his bag or into his car seat. He's so cute. PawPalaceOnline :: It cost 179.00 I bought http://www.pawpalaceonline.com/images/amseat20S2.jpgthe one up to 20 pounds. I know it was expensive...but a great investment if it will keep him secure and happy. Good luck. I got it in grey to match the color in the car. I use it in the back seat but it does fit in the front seat too. Just be sure to turn the air bag off. |

Thanks! |
I will say that indeed a carrier, while not sporty looking, is much more safe, it will not roll around if you restrain it with the safety belt! I run the safety belt thru the handle and snap it into the other half of the belt holder or what ever it is called. It holds the carrier tight. I use it when we go to the vets ;) That being said, for fun car rides or small trips we use a hard plastic platform with an attachment for the collar. It has a sheepskin cover and a hidden food and water with a snap on cover. We found it at Petsmart, but it is sold over the internet at various sources and from the Fosters and Smith catalog. That is the one in my car. I have it in the rear middle seat and she can see out the window or lay down and sleep. Daddy has the outward hound seat in the back ;) I can't remember the name of the one in my car but I like it much better than the outward hound seat. Too soft and flimsey I think. but they can see out the window with that one. |
Has anyone tried the "sleepypod" bed/carseat? This is my very first post and I will be getting my first Yorkie in Aug. I as so excited to find YorkieTalk for all the information I have learned. The tiny dog world is very new to me and I will need all the advise I can read on YorkieTalk. I found the "sleepypod" online and was wondering if anyone has tried it and would share their opinion with me as it is expensive but impressive looking. Sleepypod.com |

Normally we use a snoozer oversized carseat and both dogs travel in it together. |
1 Attachment(s) I have car seats for all 3 of mine. It's cute the looks we get at stop lights or drive thru's when someone looks over and see 3 dogs sitting nicely in a row in the back seat. Yogi and Gracie Ruth are both around 4 lbs and fit in this seat comfortably. They can sit up or lay down as they choose. I have the clip adjusted so that they are securely fastened inside of the seat. Boo is 10 lbs and needed a stonger more secure feeling seat. This one works perfectly for him. Again he can sit or lay down, but the clip is adjusted so that it holds him securely on the seat. Here's G, patiently waiting for me to be done taking silly pictures so that we can go shopping. You can barely see Boo's seat in the middle and then Yogi's on the far side. Attachment 281038 We got both types at PetSmart and my only complaint is that it came with a plastic clip. I replaced that with a metal one and I wrap the strap that goes around the head rest twice. |
