Favorite Brand of Step-in Harness Hi I am harness shopping and considering 3 options right now for a step in... 1) Puppia 2) Doggles (Mutt Gear) 3) Gooby Ultra-Suede Luxury Harness I know I have heard great things about Puppia on here. But I don't know how much I love the velcro on the back and also have heard they stretch out over time. The Gooby was reco'd by my groomer, but it's a one size fits 4-16 lbs so I wonder if I will have trouble with Tater who is right at 4 lbs. and Coco is 5.5. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! |

Well, I don't have any experience with any of those harnesses, but I have one made by Chattiesmom (on YT) and I LOVE it! |

Yea me be getting it soon from her hehehe can't weight:D |

Our most recent harness is a Buddy Belt and I do like them better than others I've tried. I also have the "choke-free" harness and do like them although the leather is stiffer than the Buddy Belt and takes awhile to soften. Of those you mentioned I prefer the Puppia. |

I've had the opposite happen with Gooby and Puppia. The Gooby stretched and the Puppia didn't. The Puppias we have don't use velcro but the usual clip in plastic while the Gooby has a metal clip which jingles. I wouldn't feel comfortable with velcro if the dog is a puller or if I needed to pick him up quickly. Puppia does come in lots of sizes too. All things considered, we prefer Puppia. |

I have 2 red Gooby slip on harnesses right now that my boys would never wear. I think one is a small and one is an extra small...my boys were about the same size as yours. I don't use them at all...if you might be interested in them just let me know and we can work something out. |

Don't have experience with those but I've heard great things about Chattiesmoms (on this site) harnesses. I've been using the Premier Easy Walk harness and it is awesome! I had a changed dog - no pulling whatsoever. |

Chattiesmom I have tried different harnesses over the past several years and I always go back to the one that Chattiesmom made for Annie. Annie has alot of hair, it is now to the floor, and it is all a thick coat. I have never had any problems with her step in harness from Cindy. The other store bought harnesses never fit right & the ones with velcro end up sticking to her. |

I use Chattiesmom's harnesses . They are of very good quality . |

 we love Puppia!:) |

I love the Buddy Belt, easy to get on, buckles easily, looks so cute, and has really soft leather. |

Another vote for the Puppia here. :) |

I have Buddy Belts for both boys - Wylie has a black one (he is blonde) and Marcel has a caramel-tan colored one (he is black and gold). They're stylin' - yet so sturdy and cute. For some reason, Vets always comment on how neat/cute they are too (guess bc they are wearing their harnesses at the vet's, and they see them up close). The leather is very nice. |
