Booties! Who puts booties on their Yorkie? Any suggestions on brands/types? I want to get some for Missy, partly because she gets so cold, and it's snowy here in the winter, but also for fashion so they must be cute! Advice? Have any of you managed to actually get your furbaby to wear them? I tried one on her in a pet store and she seemed kinda, sorta ok with it (she loves dressing up). But the booties were cheap and not very well made, so I didn't buy them. I want something decent so she is comfortable and they are functionable. |
a GREAT Canadian brand are Muttlucks (a play on mucklucks- the native boots) they are very very well made- Layla had a pair but never wore them so we sold them- but if we needed a pair again- that is what i would get. They aren't "pretty" but id ont' think you'll find a better quality boot- plus i love supporting Canadian companies :) |

I've actually not seen boots small enough for our girls. We had boots for our previous yorkie who was about seven pounds but even at that with XXS boots they wouldn't stay on her feet. :animal-pa It's just not convenient to be putting boots on my three girls so they can run out in the snow for a minute or so in the winter to potty and run back in. They'd probably have an accident before I even got all of their boots on. ha ha. :D |

I bought Norman that exact pair (only in baby blue instead of pink :p ) They arrived today and they are SO ADORABLE! So far, Norman hates them, but we are going to work on that. ;) |
Nevermind. I take it back. He doesn't hate WEARING them. He just hates putting them on. LOL Once they are on, he's fine. :D |
I can't WAIT to show off my purchases tomorrow. We bought those pink and white ones, and we also bought a pair of pink knock off Uggs. They are toooooo cute! We also bought a bunch of clothes. Missy will model for us tomorrow, she is too tired tonight. |
I've been thinking of getting booties for my furbabies too. but I can never find any nice ones. I had some for Odie before and I'd get them on, but as soon as he'd get his stride they'd go flying off. LilMissy- If you don't mind me asking where else do you do your shopping for clothes and accessories? I've had a hard time finding Canadian stores that sell great items. I've actually ordered from Sapphire's Closet, my order should be in early this coming week. I'm so excited! I have to thank you, if you hadn't posted about your baby's shopping spree I wouldn't have found Sapphire's Closet, she has cute stuff on her site. Missy is so adorable. Thank you. :) |
You are so welcome! We had a blast shopping at Sapphire's Closet last night. I am so lucky that I live close to her and I can go and see the merchandise. I spend more money that way, but oh well! It's definitely worth it. The products are awesome and I am sure that you will be pleased as punch with your purchase when it arrives. Here is a little preview of Missy in her booties and her new hoodie with attached jean skirt. The hoodie says "Poochie Mama #1 Princess" and that she is! We just tried 2 of the booties on last night, so she could get a feel for them. I will take more pics and video later today after she's done getting her beauty sleep :) Oh, and to answer your shopping question. We shop at go.fetch™ and www.sapphirescloset.com exclusively! |
Oh my gosh! She looks so adorable with her dress and booties. Too cute! :) I was looking at the same dress. I'm going to do another shopping spree from Sapphire's Closet as well, I can't resist all those cute clothes. I figure by the time I'm done Tila will probably own one of everything. lol. Go Fetch has very nice dresses, I haven't gotten anything from there yet though. |
