I am in love with this bowl! My little girl used to soak the hair around her face when getting a drink and also drink a bit too fast and choke on the water sometimes. I saw this bowl and decided to give it a try. LOVE IT! No more drippy face or choking on water! A couple summers ago we had to go to an after hours vet because she got a bad heat rash from the water that sat on her beard. Apparently there is also a bowl to slow down their eating made by the same company. I don't have a problem with her eating too fast, but thought I would share that it is there too in case anyone has a problem with that. drink better water bowl contech Paws Around Town |
That bowl is so cute but wow:eek: 30 bucks for one bowl.LOL not for me, I have 5, they all share except for one, and I have one will wait till all the others are done, but they won't leave her a kibble. Thanks for sharing, they do have some lovely things. |
Thanks for posting this up!!! With Black Russian Terriers (beards) and Yorkshire Terriers (beards) and even the Akitas that can have wet mouths after drinking, I'm sure I'll TOTALLY appreciate these cute dishes! Gonna go order a couple now-:thumbup: |
Please post pics when you get them,I would love to see how they work.:D |
I would love this bowl too, but it is a little too expensive. I also have a hard time with my pets drinking refusing to drink from plastic. They prefer ceramic or stainless steel so I also worry if I spent so much on a bowl would they drink from it? The idea is soo great though. :) |
I definitely need to get this. Cassi has a tendency of drinking too fast and ends up regurgitating the water after a few minutes. Thanks for sharing this great item with us. :p |
That's a good idea. Do they push on it with their tongues, and the water comes up? |
I'd be afraid that would freak my guys out and they wouldn't drink. |

I don't want to hijack this thread, so you can pm me if you'd like contact information for Sheila. Here are a couple she has done. The one with pawprints is mine. She did the one with palm trees for a Floridian. ;) |
I still think, even with the wet faces, the stainless steel is the best. It can go into the dishwasher, be disinfected with bleach and never get the wear or scratches that can hold bacteria. ;) |
drink better bowl It is really neat. You can adjust how far down the flotation device sinks into the water. At first, you fill the float with lots of water so the dog can get used to it. As they get used to it you put less water in the float so that there is less water in the middle. The dogs don't have to push down on it and the bowl is constructed of K-Resin SBC — a high-quality food-grade polymer. I am very picky about my dog's bowls and have always changed her water dishes every day (I have several and could put them in the dishwasher to clean.), but I could only afford one at this price :) However, it cleans very well and if your dog has a "drinking problem" this bowl is totally worth it! |
we bought the drink better bowl about a month ago, and God, its a life saver. now I don't have to chase Dolly around the house after she had a drink, trying to dry her soaking wet beard so water doesn't drip all over the place. it even helps with her beard breakage, less choking, less reverse sneezing, the list goes on and on... we paid 25 for it, and its worth every penny! |

I ordered the bowl and did not get a good reception from my older yorkie. She is refusing to drink from it. My little one loves it and thinks its a fun game. I did not realize Chelsey was not drinking until I saw her walk over to the placemat and look for water. She sniffed the bowl and walked away. I think she had been a few days without water before I got a clue. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried taking her to the bowl and put the water on her mouth but she just runs off. |
