Thermo Dog Bed? Geez luweez, I am just full of questions lately....sorry guys  I am just trying to get some things ready for Tatum's LP surgery. I got the Doctors Foster and Smith catalog in the mail yesterday and they have a Thermo Dog Bed that I am very interested in getting Tatum for after her surgery. Or even for now, to help with pain. The dog bed that I want to order her is here: Thermo Dog Bed: Plush Dog Bed Radiates Gentle Heat for Older or Arthritic Pets - I was just wondering if anyone has this bed and has any reviews on it? Or, if you don't have this exact bed, but another heated dog bed I would be interested in hearing reviews on it as well. My knees hurt me alot and when they do applying heat to them really does help, so I think that Tatum would really enjoy one of these beds as well. :) |
My mother bought me something similar to that for Chloe. It was like an electric heating pad for dogs that you could put in their existing bed under their blanket or you could unzip their beds slipcover and slide it in. It got warm ( never too warm ) and Chloe seemed to like it ...The only draw back was the cord ( atleast for my dogs ) because they both wanted to chew at it. I kept at them and they don't bother it ( too much) now , but I wont leave it out if I am not in the room with her. |
Layla has one similar to this Canadian Tire Therabed Heated Pet Bed Customer Ratings & Reviews - Top & Best Rated Products except it is square- i relaly like that it has sides- whereas the one you were looking at is flat- i find if i put a blanket on the bed the sides almost wrap her up and i really like that- i find it really helps keep the heat in. she LOVES her bed- especially in the winter. Also- the bed Lay has reacts to her body heat- if she isn't laying on it- heat isn't emitted- but as soon as she is on it- it starts to warm up. |

Regardless though, she will only use the bed when she is supervised by either my husband or myself. I would never ever leave her unattended in the bed while having it plugged in - not in a million years! I just hope that getting her one of these beds will help her at least a little bit...I know a heating pad helps me when my knees are bothering me. Hopefully the warmth/heat from the bed with help soothe her little knees some :) |

However, now that I think about it, I may opt for one with sides as it will help support her back when she is laying in it (simply meaning that she will have something to "lean up against" so to speak) - and yes, it will be more cozy for her, sort of like it's "cuddling" her. I am so glad that little Layla likes her nice warm bed...I hope that Tatum will like hers too! I am going to order one soon....just trying to decide which one exactly I want to get  |
K&H Bolster Thermo Dog Bed What about this one? K&H Manufacturing 42 - Thermo-Bolster Bed - Has anyone here tried it? I think I *may* end up going with this one if the reviews are good on it :D |
