Petzlife (Gel) Bottle?
 
Just a quick question. I got the babies their (first) bottle of Petzlife Gel today. I ordered it online and it arrived today, but when I opened the package I saw that some of the gel had leaked out and was around the top of the bottle. So, I wiped it off but when I unscrewed the lid to look at it, I noticed that it wasn't sealed (there was absolutely no seal anywhere in sight) - is this normal? Or is this product normally sealed underneath the cap? I figured that it would be, as most products are...but I'm not positive as this is the first time we've ever ordered this. My hubby is freaked out and doesn't even want me to use it on the babies. I thought I would come here and ask about it first before I e-mailed the company that I purchased it from.

I've bought two bottles of Petzlife and neither have had a seal, Brooke. I've never even thought about it before! Now that I think about it, it's gonna weird that it doesn't, isn't it?

Petzlife never had a seal on their bottles. They obviously couldn't with the spray. :rolleyes:

Thanks Kyle :) I thought it was a little weird too as most everything has a seal on it - and of course, you always read the, "If seal is broken, do not use" warning labels :rolleyes: So anyway, I thought I'd better go ahead and check - better to be safe than sorry :thumbup:

Oh yeah, the spray I knew there wouldn't be one, but I just assumed that there would be a seal on the bottle of gel. They should really consider putting seals on these bottles, if for nothing else, just the shipping alone. I lost quite a bit of gel during the shipping - and it was well packaged :( Oh well - no biggie really...I just wanted to make sure that my bottle wasn't missing a seal if there was supposed to be one on there.

No problem! Now that I think about it, the first bottle I ordered had leaked some too! I guess if it gets squeezed a bit, it comes out.

Geez, they really DO need a seal on these things then! I bet it has happened to more than just us :( It's just a shame because you are losing product. Ah well, maybe they will get smart and add a seal in the future :xfingers:

Hey lady, what is petlefe gel?..LOL.. I use a spray bath oil on my boy. It is wonderful. It leaves him hair shiny and moist and no greasy residue. :p It also helps to moisten the skin. :)

I use Petzlife also, and like the other posters, it didn't have a seal. You can but Petzlife products at Petsmart, that way you don't have to wait for delivery. A lot of vets sell it here, as well. There should be a seal because there are so many cruel people out there who only need a reason to do something mean!!

It's a dental care product.

Haha, hey girl - Petzlife is actually a product for their teeth (a dental care product) that helps reduce tartar and plaque build up and it also helps to freshen their breath. You just squeeze a little on your finger and rub it on their teeth. It also comes in a Spray formula that you can spray on their teeth - but I have heard that alot of babies are a little freaked out by the sound of the sprayer on the bottle, so I opted for the gel. I used it last night for the first time and my kiddos really didn't seem to mind it at all really. Tatum actually *liked* the taste of it and I think she thought I was giving her something to eat (go figure - the little piggy :rolleyes:) - she ran after me for more, lol.

I have heard rave reviews on it and the before and after pics that I have seen are nothing short of amazing. I am very excited about it and hope that we get the same great results with it just as alot of others have :D

I agree, there needs to be a seal on the product. I understand that the spray version can't have one, but it would be so easy to add one to the gel - so why not do it? :confused:

I heard that Petsmart is now carrying Petzlife, though I have yet to see it in mine, but I am going to look the next time I am in there. However, it is just soo much cheaper online, unfortunately :( It would be so much easier to just buy it locally, but you actually do save $ when buying online.

I'm so glad they liked the taste. Mine run away from me when they see me get the bottle ...but they come running back for the peanut butter after I mix it...you would think they know considering they watch me mix it :rolleyes: but oh well , atleast they eat it ! Chloe's teeth are doing well on it and Sydney's teeth are amazing ( but she's not a Yorkie)

yea...LOL.. I felt silly after mentioning hair care products and this GEL was for their teeth...:D What's the difference between the GEL and toothpaste? :p

Hahaha! I can just picture that girl :D Too funny! Stedman didn't exactly "care" for it (although I will admit he did MUCH better with it than I expected him to - so that's a plus :thumbup:) but my husband and I just couldn't get over how much Tatum actually LIKED the stuff, lol. She is just such a funny little character. You just never know with her, she always surprises ya :p lol. She just sat there perfectly still and kept licking and licking and then when I got up to go put the bottle away, she ran after me and looked up at me and started whining for more - lol. She's hilarious. Little stinker. :rolleyes:

Anyway, I am so thankful that Stedman didn't pitch a fit like he usually does with just about everything else LOL....cause this will be an *everyday thing* around here for quite a while - until we see good enough results to where we can just do the maintenance on it.

It is so great to hear that your babies teeth are looking so good - I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed for the same great results! :xfingers:
