Detangler I am looking for a good detangler for everyday use. I want one that will not leave Pistols hair looking greasy. I am currently using Groommax grooming and finishing spray but, after a couple of days his hair gets really greasy looking. Can anyone recomend something better ? |
You know, I have used Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo, no more tangles on my Dexter who has a cotton coat and mats like crazy... and it has worked well for him. :) He does not look greasy afterwards. I also have a leave in conditioner my vets office sold me, but Im not a huge fan of it so I don't use it often. |
Thx Thanks Celstu1 I have only had Pistol 2 weeks and haven't figured out yet if he has a coton coat or a silky coat he is 10 months old. I'm not sure at what age you can tell the difference. I will keep your suggestion in mind. |
I could tell when my boys were 9 weeks old what kind of coat they had. Some do say that puppy hair will shed off and reveal a silky coat when the pup had a cotton coat. My Dexter and my Fletcher are both from the same litter of pups, brothers and they are about as opposite as yorkies can get. Has your pups coat started to turn silvery? I believe at 10 months you should be seeing some silver. I don't know about all cotton coats but my Dexter is cotton and he is solid black and tan, no silver in his coat. Can you attach a pic? |
Silver Yes, Pistol does have some silver on his back. I tried to attach pictures but my files are to large and I don't know how to reduce them to add as an attachment. You can see pix on my profile page though. |
