Affordable Lookout Car Seat!!
 
I've been look for a car seat for Abbey for a while but I thought the ones I found online were overpriced. I found one the other day at Bed Bath & Beyond for only 30$!! It's perfectly priced and Abbey loves it. She is able to see out now and is safer. Thought I'd give everyone the heads up.

Did you have to order it online or were you able to pick it up at one of their stores?

That's a fabulous car seat! :) and such a great price, too. :)

Unfortunately, Tucker's a bit too big for it. :( He's 14 lbs - it only holds up to 12. ah, well. :(

magic has the lookout car seat but his is different it sits on the car seat and stays in place with the seat belt. it was more money but i have had it for about 4 years at least and it still looks great and the cover does come off to machine wash. he loves it. one of the best things i ever bought for him. and it comes in different sizes for weights up to 30 lbs.great investment for your dogs safety.:aimeeyork

lookouts are wonderful. i always stress the importance of a car seat. i was in a terrible accident and blacked out. romeo was safe in his car seat.

Megan I know what you mean about the weight since Pebbles is about 11 lb or so. I have this one and really like it a lot because it sits on the seat of the car. I was worried about how others were suspended and felt they wouldn't help Doodlebug since he gets carsick. Take a look at this one:

I love it, you can secure them with their harness, it attaches easily and it has a pocket in the front for storage. :)

Was it in the front seat? I have read that you should buy one for the back seat in case of an accident and the airbag goes off. Mine is made for the front seat and I worry but she wouldn't be happy in the back by herself.:confused:

This is really nice. BB&B has a 20% off coupon going too (in store only). There are some exceptions listed on it though.

when we first started looking at car seats.. we got one that was similar to this. it was kinda weird, though.. and we ended up returning it! :rolleyes: but it did not have the bar-type things, underneath, like this one does.. so maybe it makes a difference!
i would love to hear what you all think.. if any of you buy it!! :D we have the snoozer lookout.. and my girls LOVE IT! :D it is like a bed.. and both girls fit in one.. that was my main concern! ;) but i would be interested in one of these.. as an "extra" to throw in another car, real quick or something like that! :D thanks for posting :) gotta love Bed Bath & Beyond with their 20% coupons that NEVER expire!! :p

You can use the BBB coupon for online purchases...you just have to go into the store and order it there...they will take the coupon, you pay and they'll ship it to your house! Did this for a few weddings when they didn't carry items in store....

I found it in the store. They have a small section with a bunch of dog things. Everytime I go, they have a bunch more.

Well, I love mine. Like you said, this one is very easy to unlatch and transfer into another car in a hurry. Abbey loves it too bc it is lined with a soft fabric so she always falls asleep in it. At first she was a little weirded out by it bc she had never been in a carseat, but now everytime we get in the car she jumps right in it and lets me buckle her in. And now she can see out the front window which she especially loves!!
