Does anyone have this gate????? I've been looking for a gate to keep my chow confined to the kitchen in the nights. I wanted something that could be out-of-the-way during the day, not to mention fit a wide unusual opening. Also, I wanted something safe for my yorkie to be around, should I need to use it in the day when Garrett is up and about. Any feedback on this one would be great..... I don't have a gate like that but my only concern would be that they would get their head stuck in one of the openings. Hopefully someone else has used one though, and can give you better feedback. |
I don't have that gate, but I don't know if its sturdy enough. When I had chows they'd chew through anything and also with their size they'd push gates over. How wide is your kitchen doorway? Can you use one of those metal/plastic baby gates that can be screwed into place or be removable? The First Years Everywhere Gate : Target Regalo Flexi Gate : Target |

The opening I have is kinda hard to explain, it's 2 openings that I need to cut across. My kitchen opens into the TV room and the living/dining area, so I need to keep her in the kitchen, but allow access through. I hope that makes sense . I have 2 traditional baby gates right now similar to the first one you showed me, but they are really hard to deal with in such a high traffic route. The second one would still be in the way. What I liked about the Child Craft is that it collapses to only 20.5" AND it can swing out of the way. Soooooo, I dunno  |
