Bean Bag Like Dog Bed
 
I'm looking for a dog bed that has the foamy round balls in them like a bean bag. You know what I'm talking about? My sister had (the reason I say had is because Rosie claims it's hers) a small pillow with the same material. Rosie and my sister's dog love laying on it. Rosie can fit on it, but only half of my sister's dog fits on it:p A regular bean bag is too big since Darci is only a bit bigger than Rosie. Anyone know where I can find one?

I had one of those pillows and Lilly LOVED it. The material is different than a bean bag though. I got mine at Linens n Things or BBB, not sure which one. I think they have them at Wal-mart and Target sometimes too.

Thanks! I'll try those places. I tried last year and they didn't have bigger ones. I'll try again this year.

Maybe if you look online too... like eBay or something along those lines. I apologize, I didn't see you were wanting a bigger one than the pillows, I don't think I've seen the bigger ones. If I see any somewhere though, I'll let you know :p.

Oh goodness LOL, why'd you have to ask the name?! Jk haha :p

I think they were called something funny like... Mooshie or something. Idk, I give everything a weird name so that's probably just what I called them. You could probably just search for bean bag and see what comes up :confused:.

chattiesmom MAY make them. not sure I got one for a ge gift but im not sure if that was a special one time thing or she sells them. :) Hope that helps!

Oh... that's not what I had in mind or what I was talking about. The things I was talking about are like very squishy feeling. Lilly played and played and slept on hers, would hide treats in it and everything. I ended up having to throw it away because it eventually ripped.

Are you talking about the Squiish Pillows?
I have 3 of them that I bought for myself. However the dogs loved them so much that they took over them.:rolleyes:
I just wish they came with a slip cover because you can't wash the pillow itself because of the beans in it.

they are called "Moshi Microbead Pillows" they are super soft with little microbeads in them.... these are alot cheaper than the bean bag dog beds.... kids use them to sleep with!

just google Moshi Microbead Pillows and you should get more results :)

Here is a picture of the squiish pillow and a couple with Destiny laying on it. They love to dig in them and stretch them out to where they are the perfect size for them to lay on.

Correction, they are called Sqush pillows by Homedics, if you do a google search, you will get a ton of results.

FINALLY! I'm not so insane now, I just didn't know what they were called... me and my stupid made up names for everything :rolleyes:! Lilly's pillow looked exactly like this. I always washed hers though and it washed up fine. I think a cover for it would be VERY easy to make. I'm so glad you posted a picture though cus I'm not at home so I don't have my pictures!:thumbup:

Really? It always said on the tag "do not immerse into water." Did you let it air dry or put it in the dryer?
I may have to try washing it once to see how it does. I know it doesn't handle heat too well. I was drying my hair one day and the hair dryer was aimed towards the pillow and I noticed the beads kinda clumped together.

That's it! Thanks! I'm looking for those but bigger. My older sister's dog is a few inches longer than Rosie and can barely fit on them. Nobody had them bigger, but now that I know the name I'll google it.

Btw, I wash Rosie's pillow all the time and let it air dry. Nothing happens to the pillow. I love it when I come home from work and you can see where her body was on the pillow. Soooo...cute.

Ahh, I'm horrid with following tag wash instructions :rolleyes:, I just never pay attention and wash everything the same way. I just throw it in the washer on hot then dry it too. It ended up tearing up because my little brother came over and snagged a hole in it... which led to the little tiny beads all over my couch and living room floor :cool:.

I wash everything all together either and never looked at the tag of the pillow. It hasn't messed up though.

Hmmmm, I never thought of using one of these but it just might be a solution to a problem I have. Now that it is getting cooler my little Mo gets cold. I would imagine one of these would hold his body heat pretty well and aid in him staying warm. What do you all think?

I have those all over the living room. Mine LOVE those pillows. I had them all over in front of the couch for when mine were learning to jump off the couch. I had found a big one, I think at Urban outfitters a couple of years ago and Hot Rod decided he liked it so much when we first got him that it's been his ever since. It was like $40.00. The smaller ones were $10 at BBB. It is warm when they are on it.

I'd like to find a couple more bigger ones as I miss using it to sit up in bed.

There is a store in Freeport Maine, LLBean.com that has a pet section etc. In it there is all kinds of pet beds pillows and the what not. I'm not sure they have exactly what you are looking for but there are pet beds with memory foam, and even theraputic beds. I Know that they are extremely expensive, but the one good thing about LLBeans is that they guarantee everything for life. I took a pair of boots back after 4 years and got a replacement, and a jacket with a defective zipper and got money back. They are in the next town from me.
