Car seat for 2 Hi guys, I've put down a deposit on my new Yorkie today, so I'm in the market for a car seat. I found this one on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7701791409 Does anyone have a similar car seat? Does it rest on the bottom of the seat? Or does it sit higher than that when harnessed to the seat belt? This particular seat has 2 restraints so that it will hold 2 Yorkies. Sophie is 6 months and 5.5 lbs. New puppy is 8 weeks and is 1.5 lbs. She should top out at less than 5 lbs. Any input would be appreciated! :) |
I have this same car seat that holds one dog. My yorkie absolutely loves it. I started him young, the day I got him at 16 weeks, and I would take him in the car everytime I went driving. Now, he loves it. It sits on your car seat and is secured by the cars seat belt. There is a strap in the seat that hooks to the harness of your dog to keep him in place. They are wonderful and I highly recoomend them. It allows them to see out the window and sit in the car safely and without distracting the driver!!! I love it! I even had mine monogrammed with my yorkies name! |
I would check out GWLittle for that seat before ebay, they are the same price and I would trust GW before anyone on Ebay :T http://gwlittle.com/product.php?id=239 We are going to start carrying them on our site, but I'm not sure when. hope that helps! |

I have this car seat by Lookout, but in a smaller size for one dog. It works great. I do have two dogs, but rather than put them both in one seat, I also purchased the console car seat (goes on the arm rest) for my second dog. This way both dogs have their own area and they don't get tangled. |
over her in the UK they dont do such things as doggie car seats only harnesses, soooooooo i got one from the USA its not like those its called booster seat,(has anyone got this one) it was $25 dollars is that good?, anyway im thinking of ordering a furry one for the winter coz it can get very cold come october. wendy and rosie :rose: :yorkiesar |
Hi there! We carry the car seats and actually just got the lookout console one for our 3 (only 2 of them can fit into it at a time). I always tell people who will want to fit 2 yorkies that it is better to go with the oversizes Lookout seat, bc the buddy lookout is just really huge. I could fit 2 say westies or something along the lines. Here is the oversized lookout: http://www.imapreciouspup.com/carseats.htm It can comfortably fit 2. Email me, all YT members get a discount (Brooke@ImaPreciousPup.com). Mine love their new car seat and I had a customer order the oversized lookout instead of the buddy lookout, and she just emailed me saying she was glad she did, it is plenty big, and she loves it: Brooke, I received the "Car Seat" today. I think it is the absolutely best thing I have ever seen. I took the pups for a car ride already. Josie (the younger one) was very content, she just sat their, looked out the window, was very comfortable.... |
The car seat came in today. WOW = it is huge. Much too big to fit in my car, either in the front seat or back. I have 3 children and 2 of them can't even fit in the back while the car seat is back there. I'm going to check out some of the links you guys posted and get something else. I already have a car seat for one, I'm going to check into a console car seat. Those of you who have the console seats, is it easy for smaller yorkies to look out of the window? Thanks so much for all the input. |
We have the console lookout, my yorkies LOVE it! |
