Baby Wipes vs. Pets Bath Wipes I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between baby wipes and pet wipes. Are they different? I haven't had the chance to do research on the ingredients, but since there is a vast array of baby wipes and not so many of pet wipes, would it be okay and safe to use instead? I use them primarily for wiping those eye boogers out and wiping the little booty and paws after we go outside. I work in retail and baby wipes come in refill packs so that you don't have to buy a new plastic tub each time you need more wipes and it saves a couple of dollars each time (which turns into savings in the long run). If you use baby wipes instead of pet wipes, I would love to hear from you! I know that there are some of you who use just a plain wash cloth that you just use water with, but Mocha will have nothing to do with it. (I've tried, not that she loves the wipes much more, but at least she'll tolerate it.) Thanks. |
Baby wipes are fine and cheaper |
I've always used the baby wipes and haven't had any problems:) |
I use baby wipes, Huggies, large tub is only 2.44 and you get 160:) They smell good and they are nice & thick;) |
I'm currently using pet wipes, but I don't think they work as well as the baby wipes, so i will be switching as soon as I run out. The way I see it.....if it can clean off the smell of baby poo, it will be great for Mr. Biggs. :p |
Thanks everyone!:) |
I have always use the pet ones:aimeeyork |
The baby wipes are cheaper, and just as safe. |
we use baby wipes |
I use baby wipes on them all the time . .booties, face and I think it should be okay. If it is gentle enough for our babies I think it should work fine for our furbabies :) |
I agree that baby wipes are just as good as pet wipes. The only thing I would be careful about is near the eyes. Whatever cleaning solution they are using could burn their eyes if it got inside. |
I think the pet wipes are a ploy for people to spend more money. Baby wipes are just as safe. |
I use baby wipes too, except for eye goo. I used a baby wipe to clean off eye makeup and it burned my eyes. For eye goobers, I use warm water on a washcloth. |
My baby is named Mocha, too! Anyway, I use baby wipes for the face, paws, and private areas. I buy the sensitive unscented ones and they don't seem to irritate his eyes at all. |

My mom buys non scented baby wipes for her furbaby. They work great! The scented wipes gave Baby a bad rash. |
Wow. Thanks for all the responses. I've always wondered about it, but now I know. I'll definitely be switching! Thanks! |
baby wipes are the exact same. just differently scented. if you use unscented baby wipes then you can use them on the eye goo. to test i squeezed the liquid out of the wipe into my eye and it didnt hurt or burn at all. now thats love, daddy takin one for the team. |
LOL that's too cute :lol tears What a wonderful daddy you are! Quote:
