to each their own i have a golden lab which is a golden retreiver and a lab she looks like a golden retriever and she is the sweetest thing but i got her about 6 yrs ago before i knew all about the designer dog thing to me she was just a little less than a hines 57 but all my child hood we had mixs and usually they are smarter and live alot longer and have less health problems than purebreeds and as an adult the store is still the same but i got ferrah because the lady was selling them for 5 dollars the cost of food and nothing else and she was so cute and a dog is a dog you love them when you get to know them not for the breed you just start looking there its the puppie you fall inlove with and the personallity each has its own and if you dont like them when they get older cause they bite or something harmful like that or if you cant take care of them anymore then finding them a good home but if its based on looks after you have cared and they loved you know matter what you look like than you should not own a dog purebreed or mut cause they go through some ugly stages and there all different cute so ugly there cute and just offaliecute and then there are those ones that only a mother could love just the same as humans and which of us has a mother who gives us up cause we just dont look like we did when we were babies but any ways i love my yorkie and my mix cause that is what she is and in a way they all are cause they mixed along time ago to get what we got now smaller smarter heavier healther faster better hunters better smellers everything came down to science and thats what gave them their own jobs and a place on farms and in cities so in a way your purebreeds parents and grandparents are really just safisticated muts and we still love them and sorry but that is just my opion and every has there own and to each their own :aimeeyork :animal36 :dog: :animal-sm  |
Really and truly, these "Haute Dogs" are mixed breeds with a fancy schmancy name for marketing purposes, kinda like using the term "teacup" to market a Yorkshire Terrier. Needless to say, many of these careful combinations result in good looking healthy dogs, but it seems that the combinations are selected so that the name can be cute-- a Dachshund and a Yorkie is that a Dorkie or is it a Yordach not to be confused with Jordache. I have things I want to say, but after trying 6 times to word it correctly I realize that I won't be able to put into writing what I am feeling. I certainly don't want to offend any of the wonderful folks who have these special little gifts so I am going to stop. There are so many beautiful dogs on this site, I would venture to say that most are purebred Yorkies, but we have Chiorkies, Morkies, Porkies, Dorkies, and many others, and they are all incredible gifts from our Maker. |
One of my neighbours has a yorkie crossed with a min schnauzer.... not sure what u'd call that cross??? He is gorgeous looking and has a temprament to die for. But me i like to know exactly what i'm getting. I think the trouble with cross breeds you never can be sure what your getting. JMO :D |
