Poor tiny baby.... Wondering if this Yorkie owner is a YT'er. Hope they find her baby soon! Wanted: Dognapper who stole tiny Yorkie from Midtown bar | khou.com Houston |
Oh my gosh, what a horrible thing to happen. Hope little Maggie is found real soon. What a precious baby. |
How terrible. |
i would just die if that was one of my babies....note to self no strangers allowed! i hope they find her soon and shes ok. |
How terribly sad my heart aches for this poor lady i pray that she will be returned and that she is ok |
There have been a few dogs stolen from cars & even businesse's here lately. People take them up towards Dallas & sell them at a big trades day. The trades day is the 1st Mon. of every month. Dogs start missing about 1 to 2 weeks b/4 then. I won't even take mine out in the public anymore. It is so scarey. |
Oh, this just makes me sick. That poor woman and her little one. I think there are some really good tips in the article on keeping your dog safe, I hope everyone on Yorkietalk takes a moment to read this. The world is getting to be a scary place. |
There is a very special place for people like this,I understand that it is pretty hot. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE holds my baby in a public place but me and my husband. My heart just screams in pain not just for this woman but for her baby that must be so confused!! |

That poor women and my gosh that poor little dog. She must be so scared. Praying for this sweet baby's return. It makes me so sad to hear about dogs getting stolen :( I was actually warned by another yorkie owner in New York City. She had her female stolen from her apartment a few years ago. She still has her two males. The best advice she ever gave me is to not use a retractable leash. She said that people can snip that leash very quickly and snatch your dog without you even knowing. |
I dont care for the retractable leashes either. They allow my baby to be to far from me. They can pick up something off the ground and eat it,be stepped on in a crowd, attacked by another dog before you can reel them in. If we are in a crowd and weather permits,I prefer to have mine in a sling. It puts her right under my nose and people have to reach past my chest to touch her. When we take more than one with us,I put them in the stroller and zip the net shut. |

Yeah!! that she got her dog back!!! How scary for both the owner and the dog. |
I'm so glad they were reunited! That's just awful. How heartless does a person have to be to take someone's precious baby away? |
I saw on the news last night that she did get her Maggie returned. Lucky lady and lucky Maggie. |
So lad she got her baby back. Too bad she isn't taking legal action so that people will know you can't get away with this. |

You're definitely right tho...if not for Maggie, then for the next innocent dog & send the message loud & clear to the next dognapper (& their accomplices)...it won't be tolerated! :thumbdown:mad::thumbdown |

That is amazing!! What are the odds of that happening, so happy for maggie and her Mommie |
Yay! So happy the man had the nerve to stand up to his "friend." Not a person who I'd keep around as a friend, that is for sure. Since I live and shop close to this area it is very worrisome. I took Terra out around Meyerland yesterday and was so worried someone would snatch her, even though I never took my eyes off her. Then today I heard about Meyerland being an area of high crime/thefts lately!! It's too bad there are so many immoral/unethical people in the world and that they don't have consequences for their actions... so they keep doing these things. |
First, let me say the the initial story was very sad. I think part of the prolem could have been her being under the influence and not on her P's and Q's. The person who stole the dog was a @$%ch and deserves all the karma that is owed to her. I will NEVER let anyone I don't know and trust hold my Yorkie EVER. I don't care, call me whatever. Yorkies are top of the line dogs and one of the most commonly stolen. Also, I will not use retractable leashes. I'll be sure to keep my furbaby close at all times. |

Yup it happens. I best she will NEVER let anyone hold that dog again. I'm wondering if she had a casual conversation with the girl who stole her dog. Like: "What did you feed 'em?, where did she sleep?...". Curious because she didn't press charges. I would be happy my dog was returned, reward the 'friend' who reported the B****, and press charges". She thought she was so slick. If the friend didn't report, I'm wondering if they were using the credit cards to track down that group. |

I am certain that her baby will not leave her side/arms again. Oh and good point everyone about the retractable lead. One of my boys always stays close so the short lead works fine for him. But, my other boy loves to have more freedom. I had been toying w/ a retractable, but this gave me cause to think twice. |
