Hoping to add another young Yorkie to our family. Have a timid little female and hope to find a canine friend for her. She is tiny (5 lbs) and submissive. Need a little dog that is not too dominant to be a good match. Please keep us in mind! |
With all due respect to Lucy and Sally because it is no small feat getting certified, my amazing Yorki Suki was 9 years old and just passed away Monday, 3/5. She may have been in fact (not on record with Guinness) the tiniest working dog. She weighed in at 1.8 pounds and was a certified therapy dog for two years with hospice patients here in Southwest Florida. Dear friends who knew her assure me this great, raw, gaping wound will heal someday because God is already is in tomorrow. I asked Suki to wait for me at The Bridge but she seemed to want to stay here. This, my first post, may break the rules and format but I thought of all the people who would understand it would be you. |
Looove it!! So adorable! I just love the story :):heart to |
Sorry- posted this in the wrong place! My heart goes out to those who have lost a beloved pet. Our family has experienced this loss also and it is a hurt that cuts deeply. Allow yourself to grieve as you would over the loss of any family member or loved one, and eventually I hope you can find a special way to memorialize your pet. (We have a nice framed photo of our pet and a memorial Christmas ornament.) My thoughts are with you! |

She's only 2.5 lbs, so still the smallest. |
What a great story. This is what I would love to do with my 2. Its a great idea & it truly does spread happiness. Way to go fellow yorkie.!!! : ) |
Skin Problems I adopted my Yorkie Doodle from a no kill shelter in March. He has very dry skin patches which become dandruffy and turn the skin a different color. I took him to the vet when I first got him and he was put on Cephalexin. I stopped using Carpet Fresh. I am in the middle of changing his food. I don't give him beef or pork. He sleeps on the couch or on my bed. Except during dinner when he stays in his dog bed. It seems to me that his skin condition bothers me more than my little dog. Doodle is my first little dog. I had Bouviers for the last 15 + years. I'd appreciate all help to resolve Doodle's skin issues. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. |
