I cannot believe people. If you're going to be cruel to your animals, then don't get an animal at all. This story is just heartbreaking. |
sick people there is a woman here who said her dog was old and ill and decided she couldn't take it anymore because she was vomiting and defecating in the house. So, she took some Xanax and gave 6 of them to her dog, hoping to poison it so it would die. When that didn't work, she gave it some more, and when that didn't work, the b&^% dug a hole and shot it 6 times with a .22 cal handgun. She told us she couldn't afford to have the dog euthanized. How about pawning the damn gun and the bullets to get enough to do it humanely? How about calling the vet and letting them know you can't afford the fee right now and pay them later? All the vbets in the area said they would have accomodated her. And you know what? The damn district attorney let her off. LET HER OFF. I hate my job, but I will do what I can to protect the innocent. She had the NERVE to come in wanting her gun back!!!!!!! What planet are we on????? |

OMG! What is this world coming to? There are so many places to take your pet if you cannot afford to take care of it. This is so stupid. I just hate hearing stuff like this. I read them, and look at my babies, and think, How could someone do this???? I have 5 dogs, and I knew when I got them all, It meant Vet bills, food, shots, flea treatment, heardguard, etc, etc. It is my responsibility. I got the dogs, and it's up to me to take care of them. If for some reason I couldn't care for my animals, I do know what to do, where to take them, etc. But never, never hurt my babies. It is so sick to hear all this. Sorry to keep ranting. It just breaks my heart to hear stuff like this. |
Horrible absolutely horrible. How could you do such a cruel thing to such an innocent creature. This lady must be horribly mentally ill. I hope she pays her earthly and heavenly debt to society. My prayers are with this beautiful little creature and I hope a loving family adopts her and gives her the love and attention she deserves. God bless! |

this woman obviously does not have respect for life. i think that her life does not deserve any respect either, i hope that she die of something 100X more horrible than what she did to her dog. of course that's not possible, just like it should not have been possible to do what she did to her dog. |

Update- Dog buried alive suffered from long-term neglect, vet says - Washington County - Oregonlive.com Dog buried alive suffered from long-term neglect, vet says by John Snell, The Oregonian Tuesday October 28, 2008, 2:32 PM A dog that was buried alive suffered from long-term neglect, but showed no signs of the cancer its Forest Grove owners cited as the reason they tried to "euthanize" the animal, authorities said today. The owners -- Hyrum Long, 75, and his daughter, Susan Johnson, 50, -- were arrested Monday night on animal abuse charges. They were held overnight in the Washington County Jail and released on their own recognizance this morning, said Sgt. David Thompson, spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office. "I done a bad thing and I will take responsibility for it," Long said at his house today. "I want to apologize to people." Forest Grove police were called to Long's home in the 2200 block of Laurel Street on Friday afternoon after neighbors reported hearing a dog howling, said Capt. Aaron Ashbaugh, spokesman for the Forest Grove Police Department. Police found Molly, a badly injured Labrador mix, partly buried in Long's backyard. Ashbaugh said the animal's head was sticking out of the ground. A large cushion and a log was placed over the animal, but was later removed by neighbors who called police. Long and Johnson returned home and told police they had struck the dog in the head with a hammer in what they thought was a thrifty way to euthanize it. Long and Johnson told police they thought the dog was dead when they buried it in the yard and went out to dinner. The dog was taken to the Oregon Humane Society for emergency treatment, but was euthanized because of its head injury, said David Lytle, a Humane Society spokesman. Long told police he tried to put the dog down because he believed she had cancer. A spokesman for the Oregon Human Society said Dr. Kris Otteman, examined the dog's body after it was euthanized and found no obvious sign of the disease. "She was suffering an extreme case of long-term neglect," Otteman said, adding that Molly also had evidence of "a long-term lack of nutrition." Police said earlier that veterinarians believed Molly hadn't been fed in at least a week prior to her death. When she was examined at necropsy, Molly weighed 56 pounds. Dogs her size typically weigh between 70 and 90 pounds when they are fit, said Lytle. Lytle said the dog also had "a terrible skin condition - a loss of hair all over its body." |
I signed it too, poor bobo, I am praying for him as well. Blessings |

They were held overnight in the Washington County Jail and released on their own recognizance this morning, said Sgt. David Thompson, spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office. So these people were held over night in jail, and Released?? Is this all that is going to happen to them??? OMG! What is wrong with this world? I called on my neighbor, because he was not keeping food and water outside for his Golden Ret. named Gus. He kept him chained up all day and night, on a very short chain. My other neighbors and I kept feeding the dog, until I heard him one day hitting the dog with a garden hose. I yelled at the man, and called animal control for help. After 3 visits to this man from animal control, fines, they finally took Gus and found him a beautiful home. It was summer time, and we live in Florida. It was hot, and no water. This poor dog was being so mistreated I couldn't stand it. Now these people that hit their dog on the head with a hammer, will get one, two days in jail, maybe a fine, and let go?? Oh I am just sick!!! It turns my stomach to even type it. I am so sorry Molly your owners did this to you. You are safe now in Doggy Heaven. |
That story makes me furious along with breaking my heart. How a human could treat a pup like that! An eye for an eye would be a fitting punishment here I think! |

2-year old boy tortured by stepmother I live in SW Florida and just now on the local news they reported that a 2 year old little baby was tortured by his 23 year old stepmother, who was ADDICTED TO TORTURING HIM!! She beat his head against the floor, bit off his fingernails, and when he was unconscious, continued the torture! She would open his eyes and poke them. He medflighted to a trauma center in Tampa. Luckily he survived, but with severe brain trauma. They ought to take the bitch stepmother and the sicko bitch that burned Bobo and skin them alive and then burn them. People that abuse childeren or animals, do not deserve to be alive. Hell they're not even human. I'm sorry if this is so long. But when I heard about this baby being tortured, I thought of poor Bobo and what he went through, only not to make it. Please pray for this little boy. I don't remember his name, but I remember how pitiful and hurt he looked. |
 OMG! I just watched the news, and didn't see it (Jacksonville, Fl) What is this world coming to? Everyone is going crazy! Hurting innocent babies, both 2 legged and 4 legged. Sending prayers to the little 2year old boy. :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: |
Please sign the petition! Please if you didnt sign the petition yet, please sign it. We need maximum penalty for torturing and killing innocent and defenseless animals. Here is the link: Woman Burns Pet Dog to Death - The Petition Site |
DISGUSTING! Im in tears over this. Those pictures are heart wrenching. How DARE anyone do this to such an innocent animal! This person deserves jail time. We should hog-tie her and burn her and see how she likes it! |
This is really really sad..... i mean people with mental illness is are very unpredictable.... poor baby.... when i saw the pics i cried...... i cannot imagine seeing a dog in that condition....... and for the neighbor that called 911 god bless their heart..... if not for them that poor dog would be tortured and dead...... |
The most evil of evil I cannot believe the depths to which people stoop. I love my little guy so much. . .not sure what I would do without him. I hope she burns. . .burns in Hades!! Blessings to all the doggies of the world! :aimeeyork |
I knew not to read this when I seen the title, but I was hoping maybe it was an accidental burning or something. I was not prepared to read what this person did to her "best friend". I hugged Aurora while I cried as I read. Poor Bobo, he will be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank god for that neighbor. I really hope the person that did this, gets the help they need and never owns another animal again. Didn't any of the family or friends see signs that maybe said she shouldn't have a pet?? For me when life gets hard and I get stressed, Aurora helps me. She knows when to come cuddle and kiss me. She is like my therapy LOL. I couldn't imagine ever hurting her or any animal. I freak out when she bumps her head on tables, walls, etc (she is kinda clumsy). |
If she's mentally ill, she should never have had a pet in the first place. Also regardless of her mental illness because of the cruelty to the dog, I would like to throttle her. |
BOBO succumbed to his injuries :( I am really upset about this... poor Bobo (he suffered greatly) |
aww that is horrible to hear that he didn't make it. I was happy he was at least saved and seemed to be doing better. Its so horrible that he had to suffer so much and all at the hands of the person who was suppose to love and care for him, the one person he should have had complete trust in. I was truly hoping to hear that he would survive and find a home where he would be truly loved. |
I cannot beleive this either!!! Was crying also, and hugged and kissed my little one! Prayers for Bobo - |
oh no poor bobo may he rest in peace!!! |
Shedding tears.... |

it must be real traumatic for the dog...poor thingy...:( makes me wanna cry... |
Poor Bobo.. I had tears while reading this.. If this woman had schizophrenia, it explains how she could have done this to her baby that she supposibly loves.. I don't know how many of you know anyone with this disease, but they aren't in their right mind. And she should NEVER of had a pet. I am not defending this woman.. I believe that she should get charged and then admitted to a hospital for the mentally ill.. There she should live out the remainder of her days on this planet.... |
:mad::mad::mad: Poor Sweet Baby:( I hope he gets better soon... This made me sick |

Bobo This is the most horrific story of animal cruelty I have ever read. My tears and thoughts are with precious baby Bobo. I am truly sick to my stomach , side by side with the rest of you. I voted two times today. The first, for president of the united states, the second , when I signed the petition to stop this inhumane act of cruelty to animals and voted for a maximum penalty to the fullest extent of the law for these very sick people. My tears are over flowing , making it’s own ocean of tears over this. Thanks for the link for the petition , I have sent it to as many people as I can. God bless the neighbor and to all of the caring hearts out there who are trying to make a difference and put a stop to this once and for all. Ree |
