you know what they do to a dog that attacks a human? they don't allow the sort of mental illness allowances in those situation...they don't even care why the dog attack in those situations.

Yes, I understand where you are coming from, and certainly after she is stable will have to come to terms of what she has done. Mentally ill people are at times, extremely unstable and are capable of hideous act upon the innocent . They are also inclined to harm themselves as well . AND the woman may have had a psychotic break , and turned to violence on the very one thing she loved the most in her life.
YES, the woman needs to be stablized and then she will know what she did to her precious Yorkie.... THat is what she is going to have to deal with , and I do not think writing down that she needs to go to Hell, or whatever, because of her actions, only because we know very little of the mental illness she suffers from.
Personally , most mentally ill people do not act out in violence , unless they are psychotic. Then they are capable of bodily harm on a human or animal.
Their have been mentally ill mothers doing terrible acts upon their own children, which to me, is very simalar to this incident. A innocent dog , cannot protect themselves against an unstable , metally ill person. :cry:
Prayers need to be going out to Bobo , and donations need to be made to supoprt his long term care that he is going to need for A long time.
In A person, skin graphs are done on severe burns. I do not know how vets take care of a severely burned dog ... I am scared he not going to survive .
Only because I too, have severe burns, they can't do what they do for humans on dogs, and this concerns me. Maybe they can?

OMG....that is so disturbing. I was almost in tears just reading this. I can't even imagine. My dogs are my children. I hope they put that lady in a mental institution.

you know, this is a really unfair comment! of course people are very sad for bobo, and extremely angry at this women. a lot of people here probably like dogs better than most people. i know i love dogs way more than i love most people. how can you not? dogs are made of love, unconditional love.

it's completely not fair to say that "oh, she will have to deal with the guilt when she is stabilized" that's it? just that she will have to deal with the guilt?

it was a very cruel and almost calculated thing that she did. she hogtied the dog to a phone book for crying out loud! and then burned the poor dog?
if someone did that to you, and now your life is in danger, are you just going to say that "oh, don't be angry people, that person will just have to deal with her guilt when she is stabilized."

Many people deemed as "normal" has hurt animals.

Loss of contact with reality does not = burning your dog. The woman's state of mind is a matter for experts to decide. Psychology is NOT common sense.

To be angry to this woman is only human, and we are that. To try to objectify feelings is impossible, as long as we're humans.

I talked with a friend studying psychology in her final year for opinions. She has cleared things up for me. I am angry, but I also know now that it is also impossible to call the woman on her actions. Without proper information or knowledge, we cannot judge her. Of course all of us are angry, and we are looking for some one to blame, and the most logical choice is to blame the woman.

This is a part of the chat I had with my friend, when I asked her is the woman supposed to get off just like that. This is what my friend said.

So basically, the world is deuced unfair, and there is nothing we can do.

I just regret that the woman got a dog in the 1st place. Now I can only pray for Bobo, and for no dogs to end up in sick people's hands again.

The lady should NOT have been allowed to own a pet, and I think the anger should be directed to whoever choose to sell their precious pup to someone who was not mentally capable of owning a dog. It seems they only cared about making a sell and didn't care what happened to their pup. I don't think she should "burn in hell" or "burn to death" She is the wrong person to direct anger towards.

In the case that she didn't have a mental illness I feel she would be the one to direct anger towards, but for now I direct my anger to the breeder, or pet store who sold her this poor pup.

I just called & got yesterdays update on Bobo. He is resting comfortalby & is reacting & interacting with his surroundings. They're going to have to remove a piece of burned skin on his side & put on a bandage that will promote healing. Good for him...that little fighter!:rolleyes:

First off mental people should not have pets or children. Being a male obviously I won't be as compassionate to this woman. It could have been a small child, but its just as awful it was a Yorkie.

But I am really happy that Bobo is getting better. I have been watching Colorado news and there is a flood of donations which is great. Over 1000 people interested in adopting him.

Glad the laws are getting more strict.

This breaks my heart. I have not been able to stop hugging my babies with my eye's filled with tears, just thinking how can someone hurt something so precious and loving.

I pray that little Bobo make a full recovery, and that he will be placed with a loving family that will spoil him beyond belief.
