That terrifies me. That is why I don't take mine to a groomer. We just do the best we can at home. That is an awful tragedy! |
It was defiantely the assistants fault. They say they will help replace the yorkie. However, the dog is not replaceable. You do not leave a dog soaking in the tub ! :thumbdown The poor little one hung itself. :thumbdown That is sickning. The yorkie was scared and tried to get away, the strangeled. She had to had left the dog for more then a minute. :thumbdown I f ever take Suzi to be groomed, I am going to be right there, I would not ever just leave her . If you are there supervising, then the Groomer is going to be much more careful with your dog ! That is the truth. It is like leaving your little child alone with someone, that person is going to watch what they say and do if you are there, BUT, when your not there, anything can happen! :aimeeyork This is so sad. :( |

:(:(:( How horrible... :(:(:( |
This is really horrifing.. my god.. what an idiot to leave a tiny puppy tied on in a tub.. makes me very glad I bath my own..:eek::eek:anne |
Oh my goodness! my heart is broken in two for this poor lady!!! Thats it i am not trying to catagorize groomers at all, but Hank will NOT go back to the groomer! I will learn how to do it myself! |
Oh my gosh. That settles it, I'm grooming my baby myself. I don't care how stupid he looks for a while (due to my inexperience). Plus when we were watching the groomers at PetSmart, the groomers were not taking care to NOT pull hair while brushing/combing... I can't imagine my sensitive baby going through that. He'd die of a heart attack or shock from the pain. Ugh. I feel sorry for the dog owner lady and for the poor doggy that died. Sounds to me as though the grooming company is not going to do anything to help the dog owner, emotionally anyway. Yeah they will pay for cremation and help pay for a new dog, but they dont seem remorseful in any way. That's just awful. I hope the business goes DOWN! DOWN WITH THOSE A$$HOLES! Omg I'm so mad. Sorry for the rant. Brittany and Bentley |

So, so sad. My friends little dog's foot was almost amputated by a groomer at petsmart. They too agreed to pay any vet bills and said they were sorry, but that was about it. Do they just hire anyone off the street for those jobs or what? |
I honestly feel so heart broken reading this thread and can't imagine how devastated that the owner of the 3 lb yorkie must have felt. I'm glad that I groom and bathe Mica and Kali myself. The reason for this was that our other Yorkie Shasta (RIP) who passed away after Christmas 2007 when she was four was cut on her urethra area I imagine from the clippers on one occasion when I took her to get groomed. This particular groomer did not even bother to tell me about it then I noticed her shaking, likely in pain, when I brought her home and on inspection I saw the lacertation.:mad: I called them up right away to discuss the matter and they really were not even that sorry at the time. I was so angry and sad for Shasta. After that incident then I decided I'd learn to groom her myself. I don't do a perfect job but at least I know my babies will be safe with me. Also, I think the more you groom them the faster it becomes, as you become more proficient and comfortable with the process. :animal36:animal36 |
How sad for the puppy & the woman. How heartless not to contact her regarding this. Even though it may not look profession, I have always groomed Lucy & my new girl Pebbles will never go to a groomer again. I will have to work with her to help her forget what has happened to her before I got her. Her past owner had her shaved down pretty short. :( |
Framingham..... It is not that far from me... that is so sad.... :( |
