Diarrhea? How often do your furbabies poop? My Bobby is 5 months old & I'd been noticing that he took 3-4 poops a day - morning, afternoon-ish, night, & sometimes twice during the afternoon period. Today and yesterday he took at least 6, including one that was icky and green colored, & a lot of wet, kinda light colored ones. He seems to be healthy & whatnot, should I be worried? |
What are you feeding? |
Is it runny all the time? |
My Rusty is 5 months old also, about 2 weeks ago he was having diarrhea. I mixed some boiled chicken and white rice in with his kibble and switched from tap water to bottled. With in a day and a half he was as good as new :D hope your baby feels better soon, and watch out for signs of Hypoglycemia:aimeeyork |
I'm feeding him Canidae Dry ALS. I give him water filtered through a PUR Water Filter but he tends to eat a LOT of grass. Do you think that's it? |

Ours had it last week for a few days. They were fine other than that. Don't know what the deal was. Anyway I just added some boiled chicken breast to their soft food(contains chicken and rice) and they were back to normal in a few days. We feed them soft and hard food. |
Actually, he did throw up once a couple days ago & then yesterday - greenish vomit. Thanks a lot guys! =) I'm gonna keep my little lawn-mower away from the grass & see if he gets any better! |
Has he been thoroughly dewormed? Intestinal worms or other parasites like coccidia can cause loose stools and upset tummies. Parasites are really common in puppies, and even if they are dewormed once it may take additional doses of medication to get the problem under control. If he keeps having loose stools you'll probably want to get a stool sample checked out by your vet. |
I think the last time he was dewormed was during his shots & whatnot. I've been looking into dewormers but I don't know which one to purchase. Any suggestions? He's 5 months old, is he old enough for me to deworm him myself? |
