Laser Surgery for Spaying The vet is offering laser surgery for Athena's spaying. I was wondering if anyone has used this option. If so, do you think it made recovery better?? They gave us a paper about it when we first started going there, and it says that the pet will experience less pain, less bleeding, and less swelling, which will enhance the healing process. Any experiences with the laser from anyone?? Also, what is the type of anesthesia that should be avoided and what type is ok? Thanks :) |
surgery It sounds great and a wonderful improvement on spaying. I have never had one done with a laser, but will certainly check into if needed. Ask the vet if they use Isoflorine for surgery..excellent and they recover faster. good luck |
Thanks so much YorkieRose. |
I had that option when Bailey was neutered,, I had the laser done, the vet said it was easier on the dog,, no stiches, no return visit,, He was fine, He acted like the whole experience did not phase him at all! I'd go with the laser! :) |
Thanks rrosenberry, knowing someone else used the laser and it made it easier on Bailey is very reassuring. :) |
Miko was neutered using the laser surgery...My vet highly recommended it, and Miko recovered very quickly! :) I think that's the way to go. |
:( My baby Mia will be spayed tomorrow and I have chosen laser surgery. I was concern since te Vet wants to keep her overnight. I know she will be very sad way from home and to make everything easier on her I will pay the extra $55 and she will be able to come home the same day. It's not much more money than the conventional way and she will be back to herself faster. My boy was neuter the conventional way, he was fine, but then spaying is much bigger of an operation. |
