OMG a flea!!
 
I just saw a flea on Abby!! I have no idea where it came from! It's been so hot here that she hasnt been outside in a while! She just got spayed a week ago, So I cant even give her a flea bath for another week:eek: What should I do?????????

I'd call the vet and ask if there is something you can use.

thats what i think I will do. I saw that one flea, then it disappeared. I havent seen anymore. But I dont want to take a chance and wait for my other dog to catch them to. Maybe she even got them from him:eek:

Make a nice flea spray or make a natural flea collar.

Use a bandanna or cotton collar and add a few drops of either eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, citronella, lvender or geranium. Wash the collar and or bandanna weekly and reapply the oil.

For a flea repellent spray

8oz. of water
4 to 6 drops of tea tree oil
4 to 6 drops of lavender oil.
Put in a small spray bottle and shake well each time you use it.

Why not Advanticks (I think thats how to spell it)? Roufi is with us on the boat all summer out on Eastern Long Island and we have not seen any "wild life" although she often runs into the brush.

Have you ever heard of Diatomaceous Earth, this is all natural and can even be used on prenant and nursing moms.

I was browsing at the pet store today and I came across Hartz InControl Flea and Tick Drops I think its something like advantix or frontline. I bought it, does anyone think its a good brand? I dont want to use it until I know its good.

This should not be put directly on the pet, but it's good to put into the carpets for about an hour and then vacuum.

Please don't use any over the counter flea products like Hartz or Biospot. They can be very dangerous, even deadly.

You know another off the wall idea you can try is move to Alaska. We don't have fleas. Matter of fact I don't think that I have ever seen a flea in my life. LOL. Just a thought.

OMG i used it on her last night! Thank you for that link Ladymom! Even though she doesnt seem to have a reaction to it, I will not use it again!
I wish I read that sooner:(
