Switching from Innova to Canidae
 
Has anyone switched from Innova to Canidae??? I hear great things about Canidae. Mickey is almost 9 months and we are going to begin to transition him off of Innova Puppy soon. The Innova has been great, and he loves it, but we are going to be getting a new puppy soon and I hear that the Canidae has a food that is good for both puppy and adult. I think it will be difficult to have one dog on puppy food and the other on adult food, so this seems like a good option for me. Any suggestions?

I think that sounds like a good idea. Bella is on Canidae and is doing really well on it. She is 13 weeks and we were told it was nice to be able to keep her on the same food when she was a puppy as well as an adult. I think you would be happy. :)

Canidae All Life Stages is what you're looking for - a GREAT food. So is Innova - but I hear you about 2 different foods for 2 diff. pups - not really doable. Just transition slowly - add Canidae in to her Innova, maybe start w/ 20% Canidae (or less if you want) for about 5 days, then kick it up to 30-40% for 5 days and so on. You could have her transitioned in under 3 weeks if she does okay.

I have transitioned my yorkie from Kirkland (from breeder) to Innova to Canidae and then currently he is on Orijen. I love Innova, Canidae and Orijen. They are all great foods and i just rotate them every few months so that he doesn't get bored.

Orijen ROCKS, it's my favorite - you are so lucky to have it in Canada. I had a heck of a time finding it here when I used it for grazing. (my guys are kibble free right now)

I think you'll be better off with one brand for both dogs, because you can't always monitor who's eating what.

It is really a great food and the only kibble Siu Pao will eat plain although I don't usually feed him plain kibbles. My boy's tastebuds are really like a professional food reviewer's tastebuds! He is just so good in picking food! I think most Yorkies are like that! So sorry that its hard for you to find it there. I thought they sell Orijen in a lot of places now. I even found Orijen selling in Malaysia and recommended it for my sister's Maltese.
