You guys, the difference is that these are GOOD companies. If anything was wrong they would tell us. My trainer keeps up on this stuff big time (she is into holistic stuff) and said the Canidae/Innova stuff is unfounded. Those companies made out very well with the recall and someone might have a reason to discredit them. The tylenol was found in ZIPLOCK BAGS of the it, not in an original sealed bag. Canidae said they didn't even manufacture food on the day the lady claimed was stamped on the bag. They finally got it straightened out and I heard the tests came back clear. |
I don't know who you can trust these days, have 3 sick dogs from tennis balls who would have thought that.. |
I do not believe that there has been anything wrong with Canidae products! There is no way that they would lie to people that have inquired about this....can you imagine the liability that they would be taking on?! My fur crew will remain on Canidae/Felidae. :) Tammy |
Wow, I haven't heard of this! My gang has been on Canidae ALS dry food for about 7 months now and have only benefited from it! I used to feed the canned food also, when one wasn't feeling well or needed to take medicine :(. I will keep my eyes open for new info, but will continue to feed Canidae here until I hear more of what's happening or (not) happening. |
Erin, I do agree with you...but. It is hard to discredit the reports about their canned foods having chunks of "things" in it. There are reports of something that looks like bones chip in it. Someone on YT also posted about something in the canned food that looked like big globs of fat or organ meat (not ground properly). I believe that they said Canidae. There is also someone else on YT that found plastic in a snap biscuit. I am no longer comfortable with them. |

Look guys Im going back to my old home town today, I will check the pet shop there that sells this food and also check with my old vet, see if they have had any problems, and if for some reason the pet store over there doesn't have it I will swing by the one in mobile and check them out too, it will be late tonight before I get back but will let you know what I find out. |

Here are a couple links to old threads. I guess more than one person has found plastic in snap biscuits. I thought it was a one time thing but nope. So, we just don't know if there is plastic in the kibble. How can I feed Ellie Canidae under these circumstances? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...lastic+canidae http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...lastic+canidae |

Hey I asked around and found out the reason the cans have been "pulled" is because they are OUT from the recall draining their inventory. They haven't been pulled, they are just backordered. |
