Glued ears Hi, 3 weeks ago my brother bought a new yorkie from a private breeder. He bought Stewie for my mom who had to put her 7 year old yorkie down due to Illness.Stewie is now 13 weeks old and is happy and healthy but the breeder glued his ears together to stregnthen the muscles. Supposedly the glue will wear off and then ears will be standing but how long until this happens? He looks silly with one big ear pile kind of like a cone head. Anyone with experience please advise. Thanks |
If they used the sewing glue you should be able to rub hand cream into the glob and eventually the glue will soften and start to loosen. It does take time, and if the hair has grown some you may even be able to cut it off, but you have to be very careful not to cut the ear. |
I never heard of gluing the ears. Is this something new? I always shaved and taped and massage.Would like to hear more about it if it isn't painful or harmful |
