royal canin babydog --> royal canin mini puppy OK, so Uno is 4 months....I am switching him to mini puppy formula. The breeder said she feeds them babydog until they are usually 10 months but I don't feel comfortable with that...so I'm going to put him on mini puppy. I have started mixing 25% mini puppy with 75% babydog and today was the first day. But since it's royal canin, and the formulas are slightly similar, should I be able to give him the new food quicker? I'm running out of babydog and I'm not going to go buy a new bag....It won't be too drastic to switch him over to the mini puppy within the next week, right? |
A week to transition to new food seems about right. When i switched Roxie's food I used the following: Days 1 and 2: 25% new food 75% old food Days 3 and 4: 50% new 50% old Days 5 and 6: 75% new 25% old Day 7: 100% new It worked well for Roxie, she transitioned without a problem. |
