Try a teaspoon of cottage cheese, with a tiny bit of fruit in it-like peeled apple, peeled peaches, or a little banana. NO grapes or fruit with seeds, though. Also, you could try some peanut butter in a Kong (get all natural for him), or some cheerios. My dogs love both! |
Forgot to answer the "how much" part... For a 16 week old-maybe 5-10 cheerios, 1/2 to 1 tsp of peanut butter, or, if you're going to do the pretzels, no more than 2 whole "pretzel knots"...obviously break them apart so he doesn't choke! |
i give lola a teaspoon of yogurt!:D and if shes lucky a piece of a banana!;) |
Mine like yogurt, cottage cheese, and fruit for snacks. |
If I give teddy a piece of a pretzel I always rub the salt off so he doesn't get too much |
We eat healthy at our house so Izzy loves frozen peas, cut up green/yellow/red/orange peppers, and bananas or apple pieces for a healthy snack. I'd stay away from the pretzels (too much salt/carbs). |
Carrots? Are Carrots ok? I put them in water heat them up, cut them up, and cool them down. She loves them |
Yup - carrots are A-OK, too! |
Nope, I woulden't give pretzels, far to high in salt and carbs. Try giving a bit of fruit or veg, yogurt, a bit of meat or perhaps some egg (raw or scrambled) as a night time snack instead :) |
