I am worried about Pebbles Hi I am really worried Pebbles has become a picky eater for the past two days. SHe does not want to eat her food. She looks at and smells it and keeps on going. I have been giving her treats like bones, sticks that are good for the teeth, etc. Today she has gone poops about three times with a little blood, what could it be? I am having a heart attack here. She seems fine, playing following me around, except for this. It is little blood. Please help |
Has Pebbles been drinking? You didn't mention that. You want to be sure that she doesn't dehydrate. Have you tried to hand feed her her kibble? Sounds like a trip to the vet may be necessary for the bloody poop. Better safe than sorry. |
thanks yes she has been drinking water. Yesterday I hand fed her and she ate about 10 of the dry food. Thanks |
How old is she and how much does she weigh? I think all this information will help other members help you. |
She is five months today and weighs 6 lbs. thanks Sorry I did not know you needed that info. |
10 pieces of kibble for a 10 week old pup may be alot whereas the same amount for a five month old isn't. I'm sorry that Pebbles isn't feeling so well. Hope someone is able to give you some good advice. |
Thank you! |
I would suggest getting her to the vet, asap--if she is passing blood. Has she had all of her Parvo shots? |
Yes she has had all of her shots including rabies! Thanks I will be taking her tomorrow. |
It might be a parasite ? I know sometimes they have blood in their stool when they have parasites. Tomorrow's visit to the vet should tell you more. Good luck! |
hi if i were you id take her straight to the vets, my rosie pooed lots of blood last week and kept being sick, so i took her to the vets very quick they kept her in and put her on a drip, my vet said that rosie had eaten something she shouldnt in the garden, shes all well now and back too her usual self. wendy and rosie :rose: |
Pebbles Maybe Pebbles is constipated and straining which would cause the blood you see. Also, when constipated, the appetite goes down. Her tummy may be gassy and upset which keeps her from eating. Try getting her to drink more which could help loosen up her stools. Otherwise, call your vet. Feel better pebbles! |
Mine had a parasite called coccidia when she acted like that, but she is only 8 weeks old. I would take her to the vet just in case. |
I just updated the info. She is very sick. Please read new post under general discussion, as I can hardly see to write because I am crying. Thanks |
If she is very sick take her now, don't wait a second later. these little guys can get so sick so fast. |
