Safe bug killer?? Does anyone have a solution to a good bug killer that is safe for our furbabies to be around as well?? I live in the south in an apartment and those huge roaches...i think they are called palmetto bugs (big roach with wings is what it looks like). The pest control comes and sprays every month and i never see them but when I get up in the morning there is usually always one laying belly up in the floor! So the bug man's stuff is working b/c they are dieing, but they are always still alive enough to start wiggling their yucky lil legs when I start to pick them up with toilet paper to flush them. Lol. I need a good solution to get rid of these critters but not anything that will harm my lil man. Thanks for any and ALL suggestions!!! |
Does nobody know anything about bug killers? Twelve people have viewed this thread and nobody and replied anything. I figured surely someone would know something about bug killers. Guess Im the only that has ever had to deal with bugs. :p |
Sorry - I don't know. Maybe the bugman can help with info on this. |
I think I would ask the pros...ask the Bug man, what is good to use around a pet. Thats my suggestion...and those bugs ARE YUUUUUUUUUCKY! Good luck! |
Alrighty Ill have to see what I can get out of him. When he was here last he said that his spray stuff would kill them..well it does...but i still find them half way dead...im trying to get rid of them. Lol. He did proceed to tell me that they have WINGS and can FLY!!!!!!! Eww!!! lol |
I know that Palmetto bugs HATE eucalyptus. If you can find a tree, take a few small branches and put them behind your furniture. It smells nice, and the roaches HATE it. This is what I've been doing for over 19 years here in Florida, and it works. Change the branches once a month or so;) You could also get some eucalyptus essential oil and apply that to the baseboards with a q-tip once a month. |
