Tumor is Cancerous Broken Hearted   After 3 surgical opinions form different vets, Mickey had his mouth tumor removed yesterday. Vet will have lab results back next week, but says he can see it is some type of cancer. After crying and a night to consider, I am going to begin researching 1) pain management (has none now but guessing it will become an issue) and 2) alternative treatment to radical surgery, chemo, radiation. Mickey will be 11 in August. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Brenda, How old was your friend's dog? Hi, Brenda Could you let me know how old your friend's dog was when the surgery was done? Thanks |

Sure, he was pushing 10 years old. The reason she took him is was that when he would yawn, he would yelp. She thought he had something stuck in his throat or tooth. Her vet found the lump, in the hinged area of the jaw. He told her the options, and the radical surgery is what she chose. |
