Warning- adult topic (humping) Hi, all YT friends... I haven't posted in ages, life got soooo crazy and is finally settling down now. I have a concern about my Pepper. He's neutered, got fixed like 8 months ago at the age of 6 months. He stopped humping his toy(just that one particular toy) because I tell him NO and he knows it's not good. Recently though, he sneaked with it into the room where my hubby sat with his son and started humping away. Nevertheless, I didn't know and didn't stop him. Hubby called me laughing a while later and the poor dog had his lipstick out completely! . Is it possible to happen after they're neutered?? That's been bothering me a lot. The toy went bye bye forever  . |
yes, even after they are neutered some dogs still hump/show. we had a collie that liked one of my brothers friends and would get all excited when he would come over... yuck |
My Wylie is 3 years old and still has his lover dog. Marcel is 9 mths old and just took his own stuffed lover dog (he gets neutered next month). This is a tough one bc I understand the habit isn't exactly desirable, but at the same time - it is natural and instinctive for them, so I really hesitate to do anything about it. Dogs can feel "shame" (that's why we have to be so careful about potty training, if we "shame" them vs. correcting, they end up wanting to pee/poo in private areas) - so I don't want to shame something natural. Maybe you could re-direct your guy instead of saying no...? I dunno. At my house, me and my hubby are in bed around 9pm reading - Wylie jumps on the bed, carrying his lover - and away he goes. Marcel now brings up his lover dog and has at it. We look, shake our heads, and giggle at the futility. They never seem to do it at any other time - at least they have a schedule, LOL! |

Where is my little innocent? |
Thanks for ending my work day with a chuckle. I have never seen TJ 'hump' a toy - thank goodness...BUT...he has tried to hump Roxy - way back when - and also after he was neutered. And just last night, TJ just kept sniffing Roxy's privates. She was getting annoyed and would sit so he could sniff her anymore. Then they started to play chase and wrestle and then TJ jumped on her and started to do a little humping. Me and hubby just started to laugh and TJ quickly jumped off of Roxy and ran up the ramp onto the couch and jumped on me and was giving me kisses  I think this is a dominance issue  |
Mojo had this same problem last year....he had his "love blanket". We had to get rid of it after he was neutered....while, the day he was gone, we put it in the closet....and then when he never wanted it, we threw it out. Anyway, the vet was really concerned because Mojo would get "hung" and it would take a long time before his "swelling" would go down enough for his "wee-wee" to go back in. She said that this was NOT good at all....It is okay, of course, when a male does this inside a female, but not being out for an extended amount of time. She told me that he needed to be neutered if we were not breeding him...we tossed that idea around years ago.... So, we went ahead and he hasn't had a "humping" problem ever since. There were a lot of bad side effects that could happen with their wee-wee being out for awhile and rubbing on something "hard".....so, those out weighed our concerns and fears of getting him neutered. |
i really dont know frankie would hump alot as a pup and then he got netured awhile back abotu 2 months and he hasnt humped any one or thing but he humps the cat, the boy cat, he stands on his hine legs and he grabs the cat with his forn tpaws and goes away in front of eveyone and we always shoo him off and tell him no no, and he runs off but non the less he will do it again in a few hours, and if you let him go its not liek a few seconds i mean he goes and goes and lately his lipstick has been peeking out  i never seen that before he got netured and i have only seen it after wards. i have no idea and im kinda sick to my tummy thinking about my poor cat being molested :D but yep the cat is his choice, and we just say no no stop. and frankie looks at us like hes saying be quiet and laughing and chases teh cat as the cat tried to walk away the cat is old though so he is like moping around, and walking slowly and franks is like wooo hooo booty in the air surrender the booty oh my admin please dont be mad a littel afternoon humor for us :D oh and the vet said he humps my male cat to dominate him and show him that hes the boss which sounds just like frankie so maybe you guys could touch on that and help me out with that thanks |
:lol tears OMG, you guys have me rolling in the isles. |
:eyetearss :eyetearss :eyetearss OMG! Wylie's Mom, you are too funny! If that is Wylie in your avatar, he looks too innocent to be doing such things. :D Quote:

"Lipstick" haha, good way to put it. I actually talked to my vet today because I was suppose to get Aubrey fixed, but Im not. And they can still do EVERYTHING after they get fixed, except make babies. |
A neutered dog can even 'tie' a female! So yes they can still hump, although it usually less often. All 3 of mine hump eachother and toys and blankies. Sometimes its like a doggy love fest in my house :lol tears |
3 Attachment(s) I wouldn't worry too much - Chanel has her humpy toy and no one is allowed to touch him. Magilla went thru 3 girls and is sill up fopr the challange - Chanel make a huge game of it - acts like he's chasing her - plays coy - throws him the homp of a life time then sits there with the BIGGEST Smile ever - proof is in the photos LOL - I don't have the heart to put him away but he does get washed when she isn't looking |
V, those humpy pics of Chanel never get old! I tell you that every time...and every time I see them, I get a tummy ache from laughing so hard! :D |
Pipers humping, but he just started and he's 4 1/2 years old. I guess he's a slow learner. |
